No one should fear for their safety in a faith house or anywhere in America.
I condemn this violent attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego and pray for the victims and everyone impacted.
Islamophobia and hate in all its forms have no place in our society, and we must root it out once & for all.
Three people were killed in a shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, authorities said. Two apparent suspects were also found dead in a car near the scene, and police said they are considering the attack a hate crime at this time. https://cnn.it/4nBNtlC
Today, Trump created an “Anti-Weaponization” fund to pay white supremacists who attacked our democracy on Jan. 6th.
This corruption is a slap in the face to Black people who've been fighting for reparations after centuries of enslavement, segregation, & ongoing discrimination by the government.
DOJ announces creation of a $1.776 billion fund to compensate Trump's allies who claim they were unfairly targeted by Biden administration https://cnn.it/4tFCkla
The fight over voting rights is about fair representation.
When we don't have Black representation in government, there are issues that won't get called to the table.
Like the Black maternal morbidity crisis, the racial wealth gap, the CROWN Act, and more.
Happy Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!
I joined @capac.house.gov & @housedemocrats.bsky.social to celebrate the contributions, cultures, and rich histories of the #AANHPI community that shape the #MA7 & our country for the better.
Some Republicans would rather Black Americans pick cotton than pick their Congressperson.
They want politicians to decide who their voters are, instead of the voters determining who their Representatives are.
We must use every tool available to defend the sacred right to vote.
From Montgomery to Massachusetts, our destinies are tied.
That's why I'm in Alabama today organizing and mobilizing to defend our right to vote.
The blueprint for our survival has already been written, and we just have to follow it.
DACA recipients are facing massive delays in renewals, causing them to lose their legal status, leave the workforce, and face deportation.
This is unconscionable.
We must protect DACA and provide a pathway to citizenship.
Everyone should have equitable access to healthcare.
And disability justice & reproductive justice are connected.
With a nationwide assault on reproductive healthcare deeply impacting our siblings with disabilities, our bill is timely, urgent, & responsive.
Workers and families are being crushed by Donald Trump’s harmful economic policies.
Whether it's his reckless tariffs, unauthorized war in Iran, or the rising cost of living.
These new inflation numbers only affirm that.
By gutting the Voting Rights Act, SCOTUS has paved the way for Republicans to eliminate Black leadership & representation in Congress.
Instead of electing their own leaders, voters will now have their reps imposed on them.
We must fight back & defend the right to vote.
Good. Mifepristone is safe and effective, and access to it is rightfully preserved while this case continues.
But this fight isn't over.
We'll keep fighting to ensure medication abortion and all reproductive healthcare are readily available to all who need it.

🚨BREAKING news from #SCOTUS. Today was a positive outcome. Access mifepristone is—rightfully—preserved as this case continues. But the fight is not over. Every legal attack & back-and-forth court decision causes unacceptable chaos and confusion for patients and providers.
Survivors of gun violence carry lifelong trauma, especially our children.
But instead of protecting them, the Trump Administration has stood with the gun lobby & fueled this public health crisis while our communities pay the price.
The shame and sham of it all.

Rep. Pressley on introducing the Housing for Formerly Incarcerated Reentry and Stable Tenancy (Housing FIRST) Act:
"Housing first. Before you can pursue education, before you can pursue employment, you need housing first."

Rep. Pressley on the Trump Administration, the Supreme Court, and the current redistricting push:
"That is an anti-freedom agenda."
No worker should be left behind by AI.
Technology advancements should supplement what workers do—not replace them.
My amendment would require the Fed to study the impact of AI on employment and report back to Congress.

Thank you @pressley.house.gov for your remarks and for fighting for the dignity of work.
Republicans' Price Stability Act does nothing to stabilize prices.
❌Nothing on Inflation
❌ Nothing on tariffs
❌Nothing on affordability
My amendment would rename this bill the "Ignore High Unemployment Act" to reflect what it would actually do.
If Congress is serious about addressing unemployment, we need unemployment data.
Because that which gets measured, gets done.
My amendment would ensure the Labor Department publicly shares unemployment data each month, broken down by race, ethnicity, gender & geography—just like my BLS Act.
For decades the Fed has studied the labor market and used its research to make sound fiscal decisions.
But this bill would destroy that infrastructure, stop the research, & weaken our financial system.
My amendment makes it clear: The Fed must continue pursuing max employment.
