MYTHBUSTERS DAY #2: What does the Big Ugly Bill actually mean for working Americans? Here’s what you need to know ⬇️
www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1dq...
I was on the ground today in Ruidoso, witnessing the damage firsthand. Despite losing everything, New Mexicans are still showing up for each other in this moment of heartbreak. 💔
New Mexicans are strong and resilient. Even those hardest hit by these devastating floods are standing with remarkable strength and determination.
🚨 Breaking—the federal government has just signed our Federal Disaster Declaration for Ruidoso. 🚨
From neighbors helping neighbors to first responders and tribal leadership offering help, we’re rallying to protect and rebuild. This recovery will take years, but our communities will get through.
We’re wrapping up at the Emergency Operations Center in Ruidoso with Governor Luján Grisham, Mayor Crawford, and our federal, state and local partners and first responders.
All of our partners are on the ground, and the community is pouring its heart out to help families devastated by the floods.
My team and I are here on the ground in Ruidoso to help support emergency response efforts after the tragic flooding that happened yesterday.
My heart is with everyone who has been impacted, and I want to thank all of the first responders who have been working tirelessly to help those in need.

The scale of the disaster in Ruidoso demands an immediate and robust response.
We’re calling on President Trump to approve the Governor’s Major Disaster Declaration, and provide full support to respond and recover.
Thank you to everyone across New Mexico and the country who has reached out about the catastrophic floods in Ruidoso today.
Mail-in ballots are safe, secure, and most of all, accessible for everyone, including our military overseas and those living with disabilities or who may not otherwise have ready access to the polls.
Making voting harder (whether in person or by mail) is voter suppression. We will fight back.
Amazing news! The Albuquerque International Sunport (just rated one of the top airports in the U.S. 💅) was just awarded more than $3.6 million for infrastructure upgrades!
This funding will help rehabilitate 10,500 feet of terminal access road to extend its life. We love our Sunport!
The big ugly bill was signed into law a few days ago. We’ll be spending the week breaking it down—what’s in & what’s out, myth-busting the GOP spin cycle, & talking about the battles won.
We’re starting with the battles won. Join us to talk public lands and why our fight matters—bug swarms & all!
Mobile Office Hours THIS WEEK! Do you have questions about federal issues like Social Security, veterans’ benefits, or passports?
My team is hosting Mobile Office Hours at the Gateway West Resource Fair this Wednesday from 9:00 am to noon. Join us!
This Administration needs to stop terrorizing communities. Now. Full stop.
My heart breaks for the families impacted by the devastating floods in Texas this weekend.
I’m sending prayers to every family, community, and first responder who is helping with recovery efforts and every loved one waiting to hear back about those missing. ❤️
Grant Chapel is the oldest African Methodist Episcopal Church in New Mexico. Since its founding in 1882, it has always been a beacon of hope and community and a place where everyone is welcome.
Thank you Pastor Rev. William Cornick Jr. and Mrs. Maxine Jones for sharing the history of Grant Chapel!
This is why they call it the Land of Enchantment. ❤️🌈 #NewMexicoTrue
NM, it is always great to be home—especially after a hard week like the one we just had! I want to thank all of you who show up to our town halls, meetings, and community events and come to see us in DC!
I’m grateful for every conversation, every word of encouragement, and every handshake and hug.
Today, we honor Ashura, a sacred day of reflection and mourning for many in our Muslim communities, especially those of the Shia tradition.
Wishing peace and blessings to all who are observing today.
New Mexico is ground zero for the fentanyl and addiction crisis.
That’s why as a member of the bipartisan Fentanyl Caucus I’m working with the Office of National Drug Control Policy to expand funding and support for critical services.
Because, our communities are counting on us.
Just days ago, a Republican member of Congress dumped stock in a Medicaid provider company right before voting to strip healthcare away from 17 million Americans.
This is why we need to BAN STOCK TRADING!
No elected official should be trading stocks while making decisions that impact our country.
