Today and every day, we honor the lives lost to senseless gun violence and continue working to prevent future tragedies. For our kids, for our communities, for our nation: let’s #EndGunViolence once and for all. #WearOrangeDay
❌INVASIVE SPECIES WARNING! I got a chance to see a sea lamprey up close and personal this week… closer than I’d like to be again anytime soon… I mean, take a look at those teeth!🤯
Pilots & aviation officials deserve mental health support just as much as any other worker. I was able to meet with MI-03 constituents from the Air Line Pilots Assoc. to discuss the importance of mental health in aviation officials & ensure we’re doing everything we can to support their wellbeing.
I’m relieved to see that a judge has ruled that Job Corps can continue with their important work, but make no mistake: the threat of this pause shouldn’t have happened. Job Corps is a pathway to a better, more stable life for countless Americans, including many in West Michigan.
We are so proud of this year’s MI-03 nominees for our nation’s service academies! These selfless young leaders are about to embark on an important next chapter of their lives centered on service and sacrifice. Wishing you all nothing but the best.
Here in West Michigan, we believe in the dignity of work. We believe a good job is the foundation of a strong family, a stable neighborhood, and a hopeful future. That’s what Job Corps delivers.
Hundreds of young West Michiganders are going to be out of jobs — and some out of a home — at the end of this month thanks to President Trump and the Dept. of Labor’s reckless cuts to the Michigan Job Corps.
The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) is a collaborative, bipartisan effort to preserve our Great Lakes and safeguard the public health of neighboring communities while addressing the most significant threats to the Great Lakes ecosystem.
I’m horrified by the act of terrorism and violence this weekend in Boulder, CO. Hate and antisemitism have no place in our country. I am praying for a full recovery for the victims, and I stand with the Boulder community as they heal from this atrocious attack.
Wishing all those celebrating in MI-03 a Happy Shavuot! May the words of the Torah inspire us all for good, and may you enjoy time with loved ones during this period of learning and reflection.
It's officially Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈 I'm proud to serve as a Member of @equality.house.gov and to be standing alongside more than 190 Members of Congress as we fight for LGBTQ+ equality.
Can’t wait to see all the West Michigan kiddos out on their bikes with their helmets on! We had a great Lids for Kids event today to ensure our young bikers are properly strapped in for the summer. Happy (safe) biking to all! 🚲
