No matter where in the world you’re headed, Team Scholten is here to help with any passport issues that may arise. One of our caseworkers assisted Caroline Z.’s family in securing their passports just in time for renewal. If you need assistance, give us a call at 616-451-8383.
This Human Trafficking Awareness Day, let’s recommit ourselves to being vigilant and looking out for each other, West Michigan. Together, we can raise awareness and end this crisis that impacts countless families nationwide. #EndHumanTrafficking
For over 40 years, Ottawa County Commissioner Roger Bergman has been a public servant, and a true example of how working in a bipartisan fashion is the best way to get things done for West Michiganders. I wish you well in your next chapter, Roger! www.grandhaventribune.com/news/local/c...
Michigan put the world on wheels, and the Detroit Auto Show reminds us that we’re STILL doing just that. It’s always a blast seeing the incredible craftsmanship coming out of our home state, knowing that they have the pedal to the metal to lead us to the automotives of tomorrow.
Thrilled to announce two impactful grants from U.S. Dept. of Transportation that will improve our infrastructure, modernize our roadways, and help keep our communities connected. MI-03, I’m always working to bring federal $ back home to YOU!
Presidents Ford and Carter forged a deep, true friendship, despite their differences.
West Michigan, I work hard every day to carry on President Ford’s legacy and cultivate relationships with anyone who shares my value of delivering for the people of MI-03.
“According to a map, it’s a long way between Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Plains, Georgia. But distances have a way of vanishing when measured in values, rather than miles…”
What remarkable words from President Ford—we are so much more than our politics.🧵
🚌Calling all school leaders: it’s our duty to invest in a healthy, climate-change free environment for future generations to grow up in. This @EPA Clean School Bus Program would help do just that — and they extended the deadline to apply! Read more. www.epa.gov/cleanschoolbus
West Michigan, World of Winter kicks off this Saturday with more than 150 free events to enjoy to uplift our local small businesses! From shopping to art to live music, read here for more info on this exciting celebration.

14 years ago, we lost 6 innocent lives and nearly former Rep. Gabby Giffords, who I’m honored to call my friend. Gabby’s miraculous recovery and work to end gun violence are nothing short of heroic.
Today we honor the lives lost in Tucson and recommit to ending gun violence everywhere.
I’m praying for the communities impacted by the fires in Southern California as well as the brave first responders working tirelessly to mitigate the flames.
These extreme weather events have become far too frequent due to climate change. We must act now to protect our planet.
Wesley and I are honored to be here to greet President Jimmy Carter as he makes his final journey to the Capitol where he will lie in state this week.
This year, Democrats trudged through D.C. snowstorms to certify the election, although the results weren’t what we hoped for. (My son Wesley trudged along with me!)
I’m proud to be on the side of the aisle that respects our democratic institutions no matter who wins.
Today in Congress, we performed our constitutional duties to certify the results of the 2024 election.
Four years ago today, Republicans — unwilling to accept the will of the American people — refused to do the same, and... you know the rest. 🧵
Today I'm praying for the families of Capitol Police Officers Brian Sicknick and Howard Liebengood, as well as DC Police Officer Jeffrey Smith.
They should still be here today. May their legacies be reminders that we must protect our democracy at all costs.

Four years ago, we watched as a violent mob stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to disrupt our democracy. It’s a moment we shouldn't forget.
Democracy only works when WE work for it – together. I'm working to protect our democracy and get things done for the people of MI-03.
His tragic passing in a helicopter training exercise last February devastated the West Michigan community. Renaming the post office in his honor now solidifies his legacy for generations to come, and it has been an honor to work with his family to pass this bill.
HUGE NEWS: H.R. 9285, my bill to rename the Comstock Park Post Office in honor of Captain Miguel Justin Nava was just SIGNED INTO LAW by President Biden.
This means so much to our community and Captain Nava's family. A father, husband, and son, he was the absolute best of us. 🧵
(We spend so much time at Legends, I’m considering setting up office hours while the boys shop for cards!)
How delightful to see two of my favorite things succeeding: the @detroitlionsnfl AND small businesses! When searching for your 1st (or 10th, or 100th… I don’t judge!) piece of Lions memorabilia, consider shopping small to support our local entrepreneurs. www.fox17online.com/sports/detro...
