People in immigration detention facilities are not receiving the mental and physical health care they need. Mental health care is a basic necessity, and no one, and I mean no one, should be alone to face their darkest moment. Ever.
Suicide deaths by Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees have hit a record pace, exposing failures in treatment and oversight across ICE's network of detention centers. An AP investigation examines who’s dying and what’s behind the increase.

I joined VFW Post 3452 and the City of Tualatin in honoring our brave servicemembers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Memorial Day also reminds us to honor our Gold Star families who carry that loss every single day. May we never forget those who gave everything for this country.
