This is an outrageous and disgraceful assault on true public servants and on the very ideals that define our nation.

Donald Trump has called for the prosecution and even the hanging of Members of Congress for standing up for our democracy and honoring the oath they swore to uphold in defense of our country.
It is unacceptable that survivors of such horrific crimes are being left without the care and resources they need because of this administration’s failure to act. The cost of inaction will be measured in human lives — and allowing that is indefensible.
And while law enforcement may continue making arrests, it is survivors who will pay the price. Critical services such as counseling, emergency housing, and employment assistance will be weakened or lost, making it even harder for survivors to rebuild their lives and break free from exploitation.
It is a reckless and harmful decision that puts politics ahead of public safety and puts survivors at greater risk, the very people this task force was created to protect.
Now, this essential work is being jeopardized because the Trump administration failed to renew its funding. This is not a minor oversight.
For six years, the Ventura County Human Trafficking Task Force has worked tirelessly to keep our communities safe, investigating nearly 400 cases, arresting almost 100 suspects, and providing life-saving support to survivors when they need it most.
Your integrity, your heart for community, and your steady commitment to Californians will continue to lift our state forward. I am grateful for your friendship, and I am proud to celebrate this truly inspiring milestone with you.
Congratulations to Senator Monique Limón on becoming the California State Senate’s 50th President pro Tempore! Your leadership is a powerful reminder of what public service can and should be.
Those who committed these horrific crimes must finally be brought to justice. The truth must come to light, and justice must be served.
Tonight, I stood alongside survivors of Jeffrey Epstein at a candlelight vigil held in their honor.
These survivors deserve justice. They deserve to be heard. And they deserve the truth. For far too long, they have been forced to wait for answers that should never have been delayed.
I stand with the victims, and I voted to release the Epstein files so survivors can finally begin to get the justice and truth they have long been denied.
Today, the House of Representatives voted to force the release of the Epstein files. This is a long overdue step toward delivering justice for survivors and transparency for the American people.
Survivors deserve to be heard. They deserve accountability. And they deserve the truth – not excuses, not obstruction, and not more delays.
For years, survivors have waited for answers, and the delay in releasing the Epstein files has been appalling and shameful. Keeping these records hidden has only prolonged the suffering of those who have bravely come forward seeking justice.
This is not foreign policy. It is self-dealing at the expense of our democracy, our values, and the American people. Trump is treating the presidency like a personal enterprise, and the American people are paying the price.
With ongoing business projects in the region and new ventures involving partners tied to the Royal Family, the line between Trump’s personal profits and U.S. foreign policy has all but disappeared.
At the same time, Trump’s children are positioning themselves for access to the Saudi market and their own financial gain.
Trump is selling F-35 fighter jets and hosting lavish dinners for someone whose brutality is well-documented and deeply at odds with our most basic democratic principles.
Today, Trump rolled out the red carpet for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, a regime leader responsible for jailing dissidents, oppressing political freedoms, and implicated in the horrific murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
