No, Americans will NOT get over losing their health care so Republicans’ billionaire buddies can get bigger yachts. @housedemocrats.bsky.social are united against this bill — we just need a few Republicans to do the right thing and join us.
States will lose tens of billions of dollars in Medicaid funding because of Trump’s Big Ugly Bill. People will lose access to health care and lives will be lost. What do Republicans have to say? “Well, we are all going to die” or “They’ll get over it.”
In states like Utah, OB-GYNs like Dr. Heuser say the fear of criminal charges is real — and it’s putting lives at risk. 📺 Watch Dr. Heuser explain how abortion bans endanger patients and force doctors to choose between care and criminalization.
Reproductive healthcare is critical. This week, one of my Republican colleagues from Florida blamed Democrats for the fear of doctors providing care for those with an ectopic pregnancy. But the real problem? Florida’s vaguely worded abortion ban and the threat of criminal charges.
Trump’s Big Ugly Bill will kick millions of Americans, including children, off their Medicaid health insurance. @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social are fighting like hell to stop this—but it’s going to take a few Republicans to grow a spine & vote NO to prevent them from stealing health care from children.
Every community, regardless of the zip code, deserves access to parks and open space. Honored to secure $2 million to create a new greenbelt along the LA River in #NorthLongBeach, and glad the project is moving forward! #OutdoorsForAll www.presstelegram.com/2025/06/20/l...
Happy #ImmigrantHeritage Month! California’s 44th District is home to one of the most vibrant & diverse communities in the US. I want to highlight our thriving immigrant population—the doctors, small business owners, lawyers, engineers, & teachers central to our economy, culture, & community.
Congratulations to my friend @robertgarcia.bsky.social, the new Ranking Member of @oversightdemocrats.house.gov! He’ll provide oversight & conduct investigations—which is what we need to fight the corruption of the current administration. He’ll make sure that our government works for everyone.
It’s been 3 years since Dobbs v. Jackson. Reproductive freedom IS health care—which is why I am a proud original cosponsor with other @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social in reintroducing the Women’s Health Protection Act today so that women have the right to make health care decisions for their own bodies.
Centers across the country are losing millions in funding for Alzheimer’s research — but Secretary Kennedy is blissfully unaware. This funding is so critical for advancements in prevention, early diagnosis, and access to care for millions of Americans who are looking for hope.
In other words: Senate Republicans will stay in to pass cuts to Medicaid and the ACA, the largest health care cuts in our history. They will rip away health care from 16 million Americans just to give tax breaks to their billionaire buddies. Got it.
Hospitals like Harbor UCLA are at risk of reduced services or even closure because of Trump’s One Big, Ugly Bill. House Republicans passed the bill to cut healthcare/Medicaid so they can reward their wealthy donors with huge tax breaks —& Senate Republicans will make it worse with even larger cuts.
