Trump’s presidency has been about corruption and self-dealing—and polluters are cashing in while we pay the price. Our tax dollars, our families, our earth. Our planet can’t afford another 4 years of this. We have to fight for clean air, clean water and future generations—on Earth Day & every day.
I cosponsored articles of impeachment against Pete Hegseth. Hegseth is the most unqualified SecDef in history. He helped launch Trump’s unconstitutional war in Iran, endangered US servicemembers, and has committed war crimes—including attacks on children. He needs to be removed from office.

If you live in Virginia, tomorrow you have a huge opportunity to make it clear to the GOP that if they want to win, it won’t be by changing the rules and redrawing maps. At least, not without a fight. Vote YES on the redistricting vote, and push back!
The YEARS of progress to move cannabis out of Schedule I has stalled under Trump, with the DEA acting like the Strait of Hormuz. Thousands are still in federal prison for non-violent marijuana offenses. Proud to stand with advocates on 4/20 today pushing pardons, clemency, and real reform.
"The worst of the worst" was a lie. Todd Lyons was a key part of that lie. His ICE agents spent a year ripping apart families and killing Americans who protested it. Now he wants to join the private sector and spend more time with HIS family. A golden parachute won't let him escape accountability.
JUST IN: Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons will leave his post next month, capping a yearlong tenure rife with national outrage over the agency's crackdown.

Black women are nearly 3 times more likely than white women to die from pregnancy-related complications. This is unacceptable. House Democrats are working hard to pass the #Momnibus to save moms’ lives and put an end to the maternal health crisis.
Ketch Secor and Molly Tuttle to headline the Overtonnpark Shell show Friday night. "The old Crow medicine show." It'll be a great show by two. Great people, splendid performers and even better human beings. I'll be there.
We Deliver for Memphis — including preserving our civil rights history. I secured $1.2M in funding to restore Mason Temple, where Dr. King gave his final “Mountaintop” speech. This investment will protect a cornerstone of Memphis history and allow it to keep serving the community for years to come.

I'm cosponsoring articles of impeachment against Trump with @johnlarsonct.bsky.social. His lawlessness is escalating—threatening war crimes, turning military forces on our own cities, abusing the pardon power and undermining our credibility. Where's the line? This vote needs to be on the record.

Current efforts to get rid of Presidential Records Act connected to efforts to get rid of talk about classified documents case? youtube.com/shorts/EGt5z...
Trump took classified documents and obstructed efforts to get them back. The question is—why? That answer is in a sealed report the public still hasn’t seen. I introduced the Volume II Transparency Act because if there’s evidence of obstruction, it can't stay buried. The public has a right to know.
The Memphis Sand Aquifer is one of our most important assets. It must be protected at all costs. The greywater facility was xAI’s assurance to Memphis that they would do just that. We need rock-solid, airtight assurances this will be built. Not just promises. Full statement ⬇️

If Melania is interested in the Epstein files her big investigation should start with her husband. Funny how the Epstein tapes vanished right after Trump & Bill Barr’s DOJ raided his townhouse. That’s the smoking gun. For years I’ve been the ONLY one in Congress consistently demanding the truth.

Proud to earn a 100% on the Alliance for Retired Americans’ 2025 Scorecard for protecting Social Security, health care and nutrition programs—and opposing GOP bills to cut those services & give tax breaks to billionaires and giant corporations. The rest of TN's congressional delegation scored a 0%.
Attended a panel at the 15th Annual Rx & Illicit Drug Summit today where a Republican claimed Democrats are keeping DHS unfunded, hurting drug prevention efforts. I countered that these efforts aren't hindered by banning masks or wearing body cameras. Reforms let DHS prioritize keeping drugs out.
