Tina Smith: "I'm sitting here and I'm thinking about what's happening at the US Treasury tonight, and it seems to be entirely possible that he's trying to distract us all from the ransacking of the Treasury Department's federal payment system that is going on right now under the thumb of Elon Musk."

Yeah, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. believes in vaccines.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent privately reassured Republican lawmakers Monday that Elon Musk and his team do not have control over a sensitive government system that manages the flow of trillions of dollars in payments.

Is Musk is *just now* being made a “special government employee” just confirms how illegal this has all been!

Just had a delivery from HEB today. I’m disabled and it’s hard for me to leave my house. Paying extra for delivery and prices already being high, knowing that it’s going to get worse is extremely worrisome.

I considered engaging in some panic grocery shopping last night but restrained myself and only engaged in panic filling the gas tank of my 20-year-old car.
I just got back from a very busy H-E-B (for non-Texans: a grocery store) tonight.
I think people realize that prices are about to spike because of the Republican trade wars coming this week.

Another FBI leader standing up for the rule of law
“Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the FBI and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and FBI policy."

Today marks the start of Black History Month, a time to celebrate the extraordinary achievements & contributions of Black Americans.
As the President and those in power make baseless, dangerous attacks on diversity, this celebration of excellence is more important than ever.

Before yesterday's crash, President Trump:
- Fired the heads of the TSA and the Coast Guard
- Pushed out the head of the FAA — leaving no one in charge
- Gutted a key aviation safety group
- Pushed air traffic controllers to quit as he purges the government
He's putting Americans in danger.

It only took a couple hours before Trump’s own administration debunked him on DEI.
- FAA report says staffing was “not normal” and that one controller was doing two jobs
- FAA employee reports that DEI programs have nothing to do with air traffic control

Just so we are clear on what to expect in the coming days, months, and years in terms of responses
1. It's Obama's fault
2. Biden broke it and left it for us
3. Woke
4. DEI
5. Thoughts
6. Prayers

He's not blaming DEI, he's blaming women and non white people.

DID YOU KNOW: Many Texans are eligible to file their taxes for free using the IRS Direct File tools.
Republicans are attacking Direct File to protect the profits of big tax-prep companies. That's not right — and I'll keep working to support your right to file for free.
