The Trump admin’s plan to freeze family planning grants is a direct attack on reproductive health care, especially for low-income communities. I’m going to fight alongside my @reprocaucus.bsky.social colleagues to stop this gutting of critical health care services.
Trump & his National Security Council twisting the narrative that this wasn’t classified info is a slap in the face to our servicemembers who risk their lives for this country. They deserve stronger leadership. I will demand full accountability, starting with the Secretary of Defense's resignation.
Imagine putting in the same hours and the same effort, only to be handed a fraction of the paycheck. That’s the reality for women in America. On Equal Pay Day, I stand with the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social in fighting for fair wages for all women.
🚨 Last chance to nominate a local woman on the Central Coast who's making a real impact! Submit your nomination for the 2025 Congressional Women of the Year today and help honor her hard work and dedication. 🌟 repcarbajal.us/womenoftheyear
As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I will be demanding answers and full accountability. Is this really the 'most qualified' cabinet the Senate confirmed? Unbelievable.
🚨 Is there a local woman on the Central Coast whose impact is inspiring others? Nominate her for the 2025 Congressional Women of the Year and help us shine a light on the remarkable contributions she’s making to our community! repcarbajal.us/womenoftheyear
15 years ago today, President Obama and Democrats signed the transformative Affordable Care Act into law, providing quality health care to nearly 24 million Americans. It remains a lifeline for families across the country, and I’m committed to protecting it from any Republican efforts to repeal it.
Stopped by the first annual Women’s Veterans Celebration and Resource Fair hosted by the San Luis Obispo County Veterans Service Office and the VA SLO Vet Center. It was great talking with women veterans on the Central Coast and celebrating their incredible achievements!
Stopped by the San Ysidro Pharmacy — a locally owned pharmacy that has been serving our community for over 60 years. Grateful for their dedication to health care and their unwavering support for our neighbors!
On today’s Democratic Daily Download, I covered Trump’s Executive Order to dismantle the Department of Education—paving the way for Republicans to slash support for students, teachers, and schools. @housedemocrats.bsky.social will fight this every step of the way.
Donald Trump's illegal order to abolish the Department of Education is a direct attack on teachers, children, & families. This devastating action will leave thousands of teachers without jobs, increase class sizes, hurts students with disabilities, and push college & job training out of reach.
It was great meeting 24 talented individuals from SLO, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties at the UA Local 114 12th Annual Plumbers, Pipefitters, Welders, Apprenticeship Contest in Buellton. 🛠️ The Central Coast is full of diverse talent, and I'm honored to represent such a remarkable community!
Had a fantastic time at the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County South County Share House ribbon cutting! Proud to help secure $1.5M in community project funding to make this project a reality. This is a huge step in expanding food access for our community! 📸 Callahan Morgan at IV Streets Photography
Mr. President, you ran on lowering the cost of—everything—your entire campaign & now we have to “shut up” and “learn to love” you barreling us into a recession? Egg prices through the roof, Americans losing their jobs, trade wars with our closest allies...not much to love. nymag.com/intelligence...
The issues are clear: Trump and Musk's unchecked power, and the Republican budget cuts that will harm Veterans, families, seniors, and children alike. I will not stop fighting to protect the Central Coast and our values.
