While House Republicans continue to create a healthcare nightmare for millions across America, I’m proud to see our state is taking the pharmaceutical industry head-on and making insulin way more affordable for working families. This is a huge win for Californians.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. If you or someone you know needs support navigating domestic violence, call the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. It is never too late to ask for help.
Speaker Johnson, your stalling tactics are suppressing the voices of Arizonans who elected Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva in September. The American people deserve representation and the final vote to release the Epstein files. (1/2)
I don’t know who Pete Hegseth is trying to fool. Journalists have never roamed free or without badges in the Pentagon, no one does—I know, I worked there. Either he isn’t spending enough time in the Pentagon doing his job or he just hasn’t got a clue what’s going on around him. What a joke.
A free and independent press is a pillar of our American values, written into the First Amendment and rooted in our Constitution. I am proud to see our journalists taking a stand against the outrageous Trump administration attempts to dismantle our constitutional freedoms. (1/2)
Five major broadcast news networks announce they will not sign the Pentagon’s new press policy, joining several other media organizations that have objected to a set of rules that many journalists consider restrictive.
Today, we celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day to honor and commemorate the cultures, histories, and impact that Indigenous people have had on our nation. It’s important to learn their stories and heritage, which make up such a monumental part of American history.
"Any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction, 'I served in the United States Navy,'" - President John F. Kennedy
There is a long way to go before we have real peace but the current cease fire is a step in the right direction. Lets hope for the Israeli and Palestinian people it holds. They and the world deserve to live in peace and security, without the terror of Hamas. apnews.com/article/gaza...
I’m thrilled for the people of Israel that the remaining living hostages have been safely returned home. The remains of the deceased hostages are to be returned later and this horrible chapter will be over.
It was a pleasure to meet with the Tzu Chi Foundation in San Dimas. They are a volunteer-based, spiritual, and welfare organization with a mission to provide material aid and support around the community. Thank you for all that you do for our community!
I am proud of my Latino & Mexican heritage. That is why I recognize Día De La Raza. It is a day celebrated by many Latin American countries because it is a day that recognizes the diversity of our blood and our cultures. Felicidades to all who celebrate the day of diversity and unity. ¡Viva La Raza!
Trump must be trying to break his own record for the longest government shutdown. Republicans refuse to come to the table and negotiate. It’s time to end this Republican shutdown, get back to Washington, and get to work.
