There’s a lot of information and disinformation out there about the health care crisis Americans face and the Republican shutdown – let’s clear some things up.
2 weeks into the Republican government shutdown and they're still nowhere to be found. Democrats are in D.C. ready to save healthcare and open the government--it's time to get back to work.
Republicans are still absent. They must return to Washington and work with Democrats to end the health care crisis they created and reopen government. Lower Costs. Cancel the cuts. Save health care.
Letitia James is a tough, fair prosecutor who worked hard to hold Donald Trump accountable for defrauding New Yorkers through his fake “charity.” Now he’s inventing charges to get political revenge. His weaponization of the DOJ undermines the rule of law and our justice system.
Everyone should feel safe in their own home. Yet Sunset Ridge tenants are experiencing unsafe conditions like rodents & widespread mold in their building. I stand with the tenants fighting for better living conditions & against intimidation by their landlord.
📢Join me TODAY for a Tele-Town Hall to discuss health care cuts amid the government shutdown! When: Oct. 8 @ 5:30 pm How:📲Dial in (855) 920-0553
Today is Latina Equal Pay Day! On average, Latinas are paid 54 cents to every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men. We celebrate the resilience of Latinas in America but we must also pass the Paycheck Fairness Act and end this disparity! #LatinaEqualpay #Trabajadoras
Scheduling? What is Mike Johnson doing during the day? All I see are TV hits – and we’re not voting 🤔
NN: Dems say you won't swear in Grijalva bc you don't want her vote on Epstein JOHNSON: No. It's scheduling NN: But there have been Rs sworn in during pro forma sessions MJ: Only reason was bc they flew in their family NN: So if she flies in her family you'd do it? MJ: Again, it's a distraction
Republicans are preparing to devastate HUSKY coverage for people with disabilities in CT. I met with those at risk of losing access to critical services that allow them to thrive at home and in our communities. I promise to keep fighting for these vital programs.
📢Join me TOMORROW for a Tele-Town Hall to discuss updates on healthcare! When: Oct. 8 @ 5:30 pm How:📲Dial in (855) 920-0553 See you then.
I'm glad to have joined Rep. John Larson, @jahimes.bsky.social, @repjahanahayes.bsky.social, & Access Health CT to sound the alarm on skyrocketing healthcare costs. Republicans are at fault for the healthcare crisis & this shutdown. Our delegation is fighting on behalf of the American people.
Republicans shut down the government and then skipped town. Democrats are ready to address the health care crisis, lower costs, and cancel cuts. Republicans are on vacation.
If Republicans let health care tax credits expire, premiums will skyrocket. Democrats are standing up and fighting to lower costs, cancel the cuts, save health care.
OMB Director Russ Vought announced that the Department of Energy would terminate $8 billion in energy projects, targeting 16 Democratic states. Canceling these projects will increase energy prices, eliminate jobs, & weaken the energy grid. The FULL list: bit.ly/46KSJvm
