I am disappointed to hear that Quinnipiac University is cutting its historic D1 women's rugby program & transitioning to a club sport. My heart is with the players who have been blindsided by this decision & my hope is that the University reconsiders. www.wfsb.com/2026/04/17/q...
56,000 companies have signed up for refunds of Trump's illegal tariffs. Now Wall Street is cashing in, while Americans who endured higher prices are left with nothing. My Tariff Relief for Consumers Act would stop this corporate bailout, and put your money back in your pocket.
Trump's economy is forcing hardworking families into debt just to put food on the table. Meanwhile, his billionaire donors are receiving record tax breaks. American's deserve better.
The number of Americans using buy now, pay later for groceries has more than doubled in the past two years, reaching the highest level ever recorded.
Big corporations are price gouging you every day, even when you try to see your favorite artist. But the Trump Administration wanted to settle this case, which would have let Live Nation off the hook for their up charging. We need to break up these monopolies, not coddle them.
After refusing to pay TSA workers for months, Trump wants to thank TSA screeners by firing 7,500 of them. It’s right there in his budget request. Watch the TSA budget hearing to see what Trump has planned for airport security: youtu.be/qsa9m1vMglA
Today's Tax Day is a reminder that Trump's $4 trillion tax cut for billionaires & corporations was financed by cuts to healthcare & food assistance. Families are struggling. The expanded, monthly Child Tax Credit would help with expenses. Republicans refuse to make it law.
Trump's DOJ has filed yet another wasteful and baseless lawsuit because their law enforcement serves the community, not him. I stand with Mayor Elicker, Gov Ned Lamont, and AG Tong against this attack on New Haven, Connecticut, and our residents.
American families are feeling the Trump Administrations chaos at home. Child care costs are at a record high. Congress must bring back the expanded monthly Child Tax Credit to help families keep up with high costs.
President Trump admits himself that gas prices will be higher – all because of the war he started with Iran. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. They cannot handle a price increase at the gas pump. We must end the war in Iran and focus on bringing down costs.
On Yom HaShoah we honor the memories of the six million innocent lives who were brutally murdered during the Holocaust. Antisemitism and hatred must be defeated.
Once again, the President is a disgrace to our country. As a Catholic, I stand with Pope Leo, who is an advocate for peace, not a politician. At a time when the world desperately needs it, he is a steady, committed voice for peace.
Pope Leo: "I have no fear of the Trump administration or speaking out loudly of the message of the Gospel, which is what I believe I am here to do, what the Church is here to do."
I was proud to join local leaders in Woodmont to announce $750k in federal funding I secured for infrastructure to protect the Milford shoreline from erosion & nearby property from flooding. Thanks to the Burgesses & Mayor for your efforts to move this project forward.
ICE has targeted & detained a CT high school student, who entered legally & has no criminal record. His father, Zia, was an interpreter for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. This is a clear display of ICE's outrageous, misguided priorities & why I’m fighting for total reform.
New Haven Job Corps is open! After fighting against threats of closure by President Trump, I visited them to catch up with students & staff. I heard directly from students that the program is a lifeline for them - providing them with hope & a good-paying career after completion.
Inflation hit the highest point in nearly two years driven almost entirely by a price shock at the pump thanks to Trump’s war in Iran. Working families are already living paycheck to paycheck. They can’t afford a government that creates higher prices.
President Trump's illegal war is increasing the cost of gas for everyone. At a time when hardworking Americans are already struggling to afford sky-high bills, it’s now even more expensive to fill up your car and heat your home — thanks to President Trump.
