We must protect college athletes and ensure they’re supported, not exploited. Title IX must be central. College sports train Olympians, build leaders, and fuel our local economies. We’re at a crossroads and we owe it to these athletes to get this right.

John Dingell VA celebrated the 250th Army birthday and 100th birthday of Army veteran Frederick Ankney Jr. Happy birthday U.S. Army and Frederick!
John was proud to have served in the Army. He will be on my mind this weekend.
See how your Representative voted on the One Big Ugly Bill here: clerk.house.gov/Votes/2025145
The One Big Ugly Bill takes from the poor to give to the rich. Every Democrat voted no, but it passed the House anyways.
Honored to be recognized as a champion for the National Mall. Our National Mall serves as a one of a kind memorial to our nation’s history, and we must always preserve and protect it.
Silencing political dissent with force is a dangerous abuse of power. Handcuffing a U.S. Senator for doing his job? This is not normal, and no one should act like it is.
George walked into my office full of energy, bringing smiles to everyone around him. For his family, and millions of others like them, Medicaid has been a lifeline. Taking it away or cutting benefits will be catastrophic.

Cutting Medicare and Medicaid to give tax cuts to billionaires? That’s bullshit.

Every day, we are faced with the question: When will the next shooting be?
Universal background checks are common-sense laws that don’t infringe on anyone’s rights and literally save lives. Every American deserves to live safe from gun violence.
California officials have made clear they do not need military forces in L.A. So why are taxpayers paying $134 million unnecessary dollars to further escalate the situation?

Attended a number events this past week for Pride month. This weekend kicked it off at Ypsi Pride as well as events in Chelsea, Milan and Detroit. It’s a time to remember the progress made in promoting mutual respect, inclusion, & true equality for every person and to fight against hate & division.
Every year, far too many Americans lose a family member, a friend, or a neighbor to gun violence. This June, we commemorate the lives we’ve lost and commit to ending senseless gun violence once and for all. #GunViolenceAwarenessMonth
I'm deeply saddened to hear of Mike Campbell's passing. He was a journalist of great integrity and professionalism, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing or working with him. My thoughts are with his family, both at home and at WWJ.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @repricklarsen.bsky.social shares how Republican Medicaid cuts will impact YOU. House Democrats are fighting like hell to protect Medicaid because your friends and neighbors depend on it.
As wildfires continue to burn across Canada, we keep them in our thoughts. Listen to the experts on air quality, stay safe, use common sense if you have a health issues and take care of yourself.

On the bipartisan Domestic Violence Working Group Day of Action, DWC demands support for survivors & their families.
Domestic violence survivor programs in our communities are lifegiving. We must protect efforts to make women & families safer at all costs.
Join us for the Western Wayne Town Hall on June 18 at 6:30 PM to ask questions or share your concerns. Please RSVP here: forms.gle/kmhtBoHwzN3U...
Domestic violence can affect anyone, anywhere, at any time. Survivors need support, and having programs in place saves lives.
Grateful to lead my colleagues on the bipartisan Domestic Violence Working Group with @repgwenmoore.bsky.social and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
