Let me be clear: the Republican budget bill failed today because of THEIR in-fighting.
Those who voted against the bill did so because they don't think the Medicaid cuts go *far enough.*
As they regroup, Democrats remain committed and united in our defense of healthcare.

Democrats stood united against today’s latest Republican attempt to slash your healthcare and nutrition programs.
We’ll continue to be relentless in our defense of critical programs millions of Americans rely on.

The Republican budget bill doesn’t make our country better.
It crushes hardworking Americans, making them sicker, poorer, and hungrier.
The House Republican budget bill represents the biggest cuts to Medicaid and nutrition programs in American history.
Even Senate Republicans know how detrimental this would be.

Republicans wanted you to be sleeping while we talked about what a bad deal their bill is for the people.
Here's what you missed ⬇️
It's been almost 800 days since the plaque honoring the Capitol Police who defended our democracy on January 6th should have been placed.
For all their chest-thumping of "Backing the Blue,” Republicans refuse to honor the same men and women who protected ALL of us on that day.
Our military personnel shouldn't be doing border enforcement.
When our CBP personnel receive months of training but the administration is only giving soldiers hours of training, it isn't right.
For once, I agree with RFK Jr.
“Transparent” corruption is still corruption.
The fact is that ICE and the administration are not going after “the worst of the worst.”
They’re going after students, people with legal status and no criminal records, and more.
This pattern is what we see in authoritarian police states, not democratic republics.
When you're only surrounded and motivated by wealthy billionaires, you become so out of touch and think nobody would ever come protest against Republican cuts to their healthcare.
Give me a break. You're a doctor.
@mmfa.bsky.social breaks it down by foreign payments and we made a helpful graph!*
*This only includes the airplane gift and excludes all the other Trump corruption
While Fox “News” mentioned Hunter Biden over 13,000 times in 16 months, they’ve been awfully quiet when it comes to Trump’s luxury plane gifted by Qatar.
Despite the cover they’re trying to give this corruption, they’re struggling with the spin.

Republicans are kicking 8.6 million people off their healthcare to pay for billionaire tax cuts.
Every single Republican that votes for this - especially those who said they wouldn’t cut funding for Medicaid - will be prioritizing their rich friends over your health.

With news of a “temporary truce” with China on our self-imposed tariffs, we’re really getting a crash course on the “Art of the Deal.“
FEMA’s Acting Administrator was fired - one day after he told those of us on the Appropriations Committee that he didn’t believe the agency should be eliminated.
Is that why Donald Trump and Secretary Noem fired him?
Apparently, independent thoughts not allowed.

In what feels like a pivotal point in history, I join millions around the world praying for our first American Pope whose emphasis of humility and peace is needed more than ever.
This week, Democrats have been fighting for a vote on legislation to protect Medicaid and food assistance programs from devastating budget cuts.
Republicans instead prioritized renaming the Gulf of Mexico.
We're for making your life better. They're for placating Trump.
I encourage my colleagues to sign on to our bill and prioritize healthcare and food assistance instead of tax breaks for their billionaire friends.
