When there are so many financial needs at home - healthcare, infrastructure, etc - it is incomprehensible that Trump wants to spend billions, and risk war, by invading Greenland. (1/2)

Her legacy will continue to live on through the joy she gave so many.
“When you lose someone you love, they never really leave you. They just move into a special place in your heart.” — Catherine O’Hara (Frankenweenie)
Saddened by the loss of Catherine O’Hara today and thinking of all the lessons her humor and humanity has taught countless people across the world.
This is just the beginning. I’ll continue to work on more legislation that protects our friends and neighbors against the lawlessness of this administration. (2/2)
I’m proud to help lead several bills to protect our communities from ICE’s ruthlessness, give American citizens tools to hold federal agents accountable, and provide commonsense pathways to citizenship to those who deserve it. (1/2)
If a local police chief acted like Kristi Noem, I'd be fighting to make sure they're out of a job before the sun set.
No American should live in fear of an unchecked federal force and I won't rest until that becomes a reality.
And until:
✅ U.S. citizens stop being improperly detained or deported by ICE
✅ Use-of-force standards are mandated
✅ Greg Bovino is fired and investigated
Bovino is the architect of Operation Metro Surge and he cannot be allowed to slink back to California to lead enforcement here.
I will not vote for a cent of ICE or DHS funding until:
✅ Operation Metro Surge ends
✅ All agents drop their masks and wear clear identification
✅ Officers who violate the Constitution are held accountable
✅ Warrants are required for arrests and searches
I'm helping lead the fights to:
✅ Impeach Secretary Kristi Noem for lying to the public and leading a cover-up
✅ Pass the No Masks for ICE Act to ban agents from hiding their identities
✅ Pass the Bivens Act to end ICE immunity from lawsuits
✅ Rescind ICE funding from the Big Ugly Bill
ICE is out of control. Secretary Noem has been lying and leading cover-ups. Officers are blatantly violating the Constitution and ignoring court orders.
Today I led @repbradsherman.bsky.social and @chu.house.gov to fight back. Here's what we're doing:

Rand Paul: "When people watch that video and the government tells them, 'Well, he was assaulting the police officers,' nobody with any objectivity believes that. No American believes he was assaulting the officers. In fact, the opposite appears to be true. So we have to get some rules of the game."

I’ll be discussing my efforts to hold #ICE accountable and push back against an agency that has gone off the rails.
Grateful to @friedman.house.gov for hosting, with @chu.house.gov joining us.

Tune in to hear what I'm doing to hold ICE accountable and rein in this out-of-control agency. Joined by @chu.house.gov and @repbradsherman.bsky.social.

May their memories continue to be a blessing as well as a reminder that we must do everything in our power to combat antisemitism and hate at every turn. (2/2)
Today, we remember the 11 million people, including 6 million Jews, murdered by the Nazi regime. This includes a large part of my grandfather's family. (1/2)
Good.
I won't stop fighting till our families and those who have lived here peacefully for decades are safe from ICE agents who are spreading terror, blatantly breaking the law, and violating court orders.
The killing of another American citizen today is completely unconscionable. ICE and CBP must be held accountable and Trump must end this siege.
It’s International Day of Education today and there’s no doubt in my mind that education opens doors to opportunity.
That's why I’ve been busy defending and expanding educational access for all – because every single American, child and adult, deserves a quality education.
