Another school shooting, this time in Minnesota. Two kids killed, others fighting for their lives.
We know the solutions, but Republicans continually refuse to support common sense gun laws at the expense of our children and families.
Trump’s baseless attack on Federal Reserve Gov. Lisa Cook is an attack on America’s economic stability.
Her refusal to back down shows why the Fed’s independence is vital. It is the last safeguard against hyperinflation and financial chaos caused by Donald Trump.
Do I think California will pass new congressional districts to offset the Trump mandated Texas redistricting?
Absolutely.
We know that our way of life is at stake if Republicans in Texas gerrymander enough seats to retain a House majority. Trump’s unchecked power will only grow through 2029.
Kilmar Albrego Garcia doesn't deserve this. In America, you’re supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. In Trump’s America, you’re guilty until proven innocent. Now, legal residents and even naturalized citizens are asking: Am I next?
Mr. Kim & Ms. Go are here legally, yet were detained and treated like criminals simply for being immigrants. I’m demanding answers from DHS so every immigrant is treated with dignity & respect. No one should be denied their rights because of where they were born. www.koreadailyus.com/rep-jimmy-go...
Donald Trump’s temporary deployments today could mean permanent troops tomorrow.
Every new deployment makes Americans more numb to authoritarian tactics.
He’s desensitizing the public so one day federal troops never leave and people won’t bat an eye.
This isn’t about crime. It’s about control.
We hosted a Back-to-School Breakfast this morning! 🍎📚
Back-to-school should be a joyful and exciting time, but too many parents are worried about rising costs and the presence of ICE in our community.
If you or your family need support, reach out to my office. We are here to help.
California has responded. Texas has f*cked around, now they’re gonna find out.
BIG NEWS: On Wed 9/3, I’m convening a national summit to tackle the most complex challenge families face today: housing.
Everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. I'm uniting leaders, advocates & experts to solve this crisis.
RSVP to join us in DC or online! bit.ly/nationalhous...
Who could’ve possibly guessed that deporting America’s farmworkers, slapping massive tariffs on our closest partners, and gutting food assistance would make groceries more expensive? Shocker.
Kick off the school year with #TeamGomez!
I’m hosting a Back-to-School Breakfast to meet families, hear what’s on your mind, and share updates on my work in Congress.
📆 Sat. 8/23 | 9–11 AM PT
📍 Glassell Park area (address with RSVP)
Hope to see you there! bit.ly/backtoschoolbreakfastRSVP
Every time I've visited the DTLA detention center unannounced, ICE locked me out. They're desperate to hide the horrifying conditions inside and betting we’ll just give up.
Well that's not happening, and we won’t stop until every detail is exposed.
If you need another example of Trump’s unchecked power, here it is:
Outside our press conference announcing California’s plan to stop Trump from stealing the election, he sent ICE agents to disrupt and intimidate us.
But united, we are unshakable. We will not be silenced. And we WILL win in 2026.
It’s back-to-school day for @laschools.bsky.social!
I welcomed students at John Liechty Middle School in MacArthur Park and stood with @utlanow.bsky.social, teachers, parents, and immigrant rights groups to make sure every student feels welcomed, supported, and safe.
My statement supporting California's plan to stop Trump from rigging the 2026 election.
What I saw inside the DTLA detention center was straight out of the Twilight Zone.
Just months ago, this facility held 300 detainees a day. When I walked in, it was empty with every trace erased.
People are vanishing under Trump. We cannot let this go on any longer.
Trump said tariffs would only hit our rivals, then he slapped them on our allies.
He promised to get tough on trade, then gave corporations a pass.
Now, he’s extending China’s tariff break AGAIN.
Same Trump. Different Tuesday 🌮
