My Democratic colleagues and I have made it clear: we are united in support of a four-week spending bill that restores Congress’s power of the purse, keeps government open, and allows for an actual bipartisan solution. I will stay in DC as long as it takes.

We’re glad to have Gwynne Wilcox back on the @nlrbgov.bsky.social board!
Because of her commitment to fighting for working people and her refusal to stand by after President Trump illegally fired her, the NLRB can now get back to work.

Thanks again to @repvalhoyle.bsky.social for inviting us to be part of a tele-town hall last night. We heard from so many Oregonians w/personal stories of how federal firings and funding cuts are impacting them. These stories help us in our legal fight to protect our citizens!
This bill enables the President and his administration to spend taxpayer dollars however they want and without accountability or oversight from Congress. I voted no.
My statement on today’s continuing resolution. ⬇️
Over 10,000 people in 2 days!
Thank you so very much to all of you who joined us over the past 2 nights on our tele-town halls.
Like I said tonight: Stay tuned for our in-person town halls which we will announce soon!
The 1st Amendment guarantees a right to free speech, not just speech you agree with. Mahmoud Khalil is a legal resident and deporting him because the admin doesn’t like what he said without any due process, is a blatant shredding of our Constitution. This is a dangerous precedent.
Today, I joined over 150 of my Dem colleagues to call out Pres Trump's firing of the USPS Board of Governors. The USPS is often the only carrier that delivers vital supplies, like meds, to our rural areas. We should be investing in the USPS, not finding ways to remove its independence & shutter it.

Hey, that was fun - let's do it again! On Friday, we had over 6,200 Oregonians from the 4th District call in. In response, my team & I will host ANOTHER tele-townhall this MONDAY at 5:30PM. We will be joined by OR Attorney General @danrayfield.bsky.social!! Fill out the form below to join us!
This International Women’s Day, we remember that while today women voting, having credit cards, or holding a job is normal – it was once a radical idea. The achievements of the women's movement show us that progress is possible, but the state of the country makes clear that we have to keep fighting.
Summer internship applications are now open for our D.C. and Eugene offices, click the link below for more information on requirements, dates, and how to apply! Please make sure to follow all posted instructions.

👋Fellow Democrats, the party needs to rethink all the anti-tariff absolutism. I’m a Rust Belt Democrat from swingy Western PA—where lousy trade deals like NAFTA stripped us for parts. Democrats need to break free from the zombie horde of neoliberal economists who think tariffs are always bad. 🧵
Hey Oregon’s 4th District! I am holding a telephone townhall with
@oregonsos.bsky.social TOMORROW NIGHT, March 7th at 5:30pm. Make sure you sign up at the link below so I give you a call. Talk soon!

If you actually stood for veterans, you would NEVER gut the VA and try to privatize it. You would never attach a profit motive to caring for our wounded men and women in uniform. You would do everything and anything to give the VA all that they need to help our heroes.
BREAKING: Internal memo reveals that the Trump administration plans to cut over 80,000 workers from Veterans Affairs.
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...
What happened tonight made it clear where Donald Trump plans to take this country, but we don't have to go along with it. As a third-generation union member, I can tell you that right now isn’t the time to sit back. We organize and we speak out.
As he rambles, don't forget one simple fact: When Trump took office, our economy was estimated to grow by nearly 4% this year. Today, it is expected to get 2.8% SMALLER. Our economic outlook has shrunk nearly 7% in 42 DAYS
Eggs? More expensive. Gas prices? Rising.
🚨 “The agriculture industry lost $26 BILLION from retaliatory tariffs in 2018 and 2019 — the first time Trump launched a trade war”
Our farmers have barely recovered from Trump’s first term tariffs. Now he is doing it again, the same exact way, but magically expects this time to be different.
Let’s be clear: tariffs are not inherently bad; tariffs are PART of the solution to help domestic manufacturing. Tariffs paired with DOMESTIC INVESTMENT, in the sectors which the tariffs target, can spur domestic growth. Without that, they raise prices, screw workers & hurt American consumers.
