Thanks, I am well aware of his numerous deficiencies and have posted about them here many times. Disappointing politicians can still get it right sometimes, just as righteous politicians will inevitably disappoint you on occasion. Also, the Senate confirms Cabinet nominees. We need more of this, and from more people. Rolling your eyes as if to say "We all know how they are" (or worse, "Don't get distracted") has been a big strategic mistake. Democratic politicians have to meet the brutality of MAGA rhetoric with outrage--and then, when necessary, match it.

Since this person (who was actually quoting a famous writer without attribution) blocked me, I'll just clear this up by explaining that the advice he was sharing was "Write with as much urgency as if there was a gun in your mouth." Again: Do not.

The thing I did not see coming in the NYC mayoral debate is Sliwa giving Cuomo one savage beatdown after another. If I were the former governor, I would go home and cry.
Eric Adams dropped out...and Cuomo actually lost support.
