Due process matters: ✅It’s a fundamental principle of the rule of law 🛡️It protects people against arbitrary government decisions ⚖️It ensures fairness in legal matters for both citizens and non-citizens First Mr. Abrego Garcia, now a four-year old? Whose next? This is ILLEGAL.
You don’t have to be a lawyer to know how to read. The President IS CONSTITUTIONALLY OBLIGATED to uphold the Constitution. President Trump, the oath that you swore to on January 20, 2025, explicitly requires you to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution.” This is not up for debate.
The USPS is one of the most efficient mail carriers in the world. USPS must continue to expand its reach & offer more reliable, accessible, & timely coverage across the country. I will always support adequate staffing & resources for the USPS - privatization is “off the table.”
Princeton University hosts the Princeton Prize in Race Relations ceremony to recognize high school students demonstrating thought leadership in advancing racial equity within their schools & communities. We must continue to inspire young leaders to use their voices to drive change.
It is beyond appalling that my House Republican colleagues are afraid to stand up to the President and bring themselves to disavow his suggestions he would consider deporting American citizens. It’s dangerous and it’s wrong.
Cutting funds for public media is yet another page from President Trump’s authoritarian playbook. President Trump and the @housegop.bsky.social are working overtime to limit free access to information to make it harder for the American people to learn about their harmful policies. Outrageous.
Another day, another loss for Trump in court. This time, a Trump-appointed judge ruled that the Trump Administration’s deportations under the Alien Enemies Act are illegal. Stop denying due process and start respecting the law.💯
Generations of young people have served the nation through Americorps, providing essential services that benefit Americans. I am proud that AG Anthony Brown is suing the Trump administration to prevent them from ripping away opportunities from our future leaders.
Congratulations to Greenbelt Middle School on placing 3rd in their division for the Annual National Science Bowl! The competition tests students’ knowledge in all areas of science and mathematics. 🧪🧮 You did our Fourth Congressional District Proud!
This morning, @rep-jeffrieshakeem.bsky.social made it clear.... The Trump Administration's 100 days have been a debacle for the American people. Hardworking Americans deserve better.
When he was six years old, Leader Jeffries’ son Joshua explained that “debacle” means “something bad.” On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social explains how the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s presidency have been a debacle for the American people.
In 100 days, President Trump has harmed hardworking American people with cruel cuts leaving our most vulnerable without basic needs. The American people deserve & demand better. @housedemocrats.bsky.social & I will continue to fight against the Republican attacks on your pockets & the rule of law.
Today I joined hundreds of Machinists and other union members and leaders for a rally to support federal workers. @Housedemocrats are continuing to fight alongside our federal workers and unions to turn around the chaos and destruction of the Trump administration. It must be turned around.
Yesterday, @govwesmoore.bsky.social & President Darryll Pines announced the launch of the Capital Quantum Benchmarking Hub at the UMD in partnership with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. This will further strengthen Maryland's claim as the nation's Capital of Quantum.
