Voted NO because funding the government should never mean giving Secretary Noem and her rogue ICE operation a blank check.
Secretary Noem must go.
Our elections are run by state and local officials, Republicans, Democrats, and independents, who follow the law and certify results. Trump is trying to bully them and poison public trust when he cannot accept the outcome.
Let’s be clear: under our Constitution, elections are run by the states and administered locally. The President has no authority to “nationalize” voting because he doesn’t like the results.
Trump: "These people were brought to our country to vote, & they vote illegally. The Republicans should say, we should take over the voting in at least 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting. We have states that I won that show I didn't win. You're gonna see something in Georgia"
Black History Month: Black history is American history. We honor trailblazers, everyday heroes, and young leaders carrying the torch. The best tribute is action: protect rights, expand opportunity, and demand dignity for all.
Arresting Don Lemon and the other journalists is a blatant attack on the free press and a dangerous escalation against Americans’ freedoms. These arrests are illegitimate. The journalists must be freed immediately.
A democracy cannot survive when truth-tellers are silenced.
Federal agents arrested the former CNN anchor Don Lemon on Thursday on charges that he violated federal law during a Jan. 18 protest against the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown, his lawyer said. The case had been rejected last week by a magistrate judge. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/30/u...
#TBT to last week’s Labor Caucus meeting with National Association of Letter Carriers President Brian Renfroe.
Postal workers show up for America every day—Congress must show up for them with the respect, safety, and fair pay they’ve earned. 📬
Republicans in Congress echoed it and claimed lowering prices was their top priority.
They lied. Families are paying more, and working people are getting squeezed. Democrats are fighting to lower costs—Republicans need to stop blocking relief and start doing their jobs.
One year into Donald Trump’s presidency, the cost of living is up and the quality of life for too many Americans is down.
A year ago today, Trump promised he’d “rapidly bring down costs” and “cut your energy costs in half.”
Pressure from the people led to President Trump kicking Gregory Bovino out of Minneapolis, a good first step. But it’s not enough. Now, Secretary Noem needs to go.
Keep up the public pressure!

As the region rides out this winter storm, please stay safe and warm. Prince George’s County has opened emergency warming centers across the county—help is available. If you or someone you know needs overnight shelter, call the 24/7 hotline at 1-888-731-0999.
Heartbroken for Alex Pretti, his family, and the grieving communities of Minnesota. This federal invasion of Minneapolis is out of control and must end now.
As we prepare for severe winter weather this weekend, please take a moment to review these winter storm safety tips. ❄️

New caucus, clear mission: lower utility bills and keep power affordable for Marylanders.
Instead of waging culture wars, this Administration should be focused on what families actually need: fully funded public schools, affordable college, and the resources teachers need to help every child succeed.
This case is about the Dept of Ed trying to threaten schools with the loss of federal funding unless they rolled back lawful programs and policies that support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Today’s decision to give up the legal fight and drop this appeal is an admission that the Trump Administration’s effort to bully schools and colleges into abandoning lawful diversity and inclusion work was wrong and unconstitutional.

If the Trump administration wants to talk about “law and order,” it should start with transparency and accountability, not intimidation and retaliation. Congress will keep pushing for real oversight, because no one’s rights should depend on the zip code they live in or the way they look.
Last week on CNN’s Laura Coates Live, I spoke about what we heard at our Minneapolis field hearing: local leaders demanding answers after a deadly ICE shooting, and Americans detained and shackled simply for documenting what they saw.
Let’s keep marching, serving, and building the Beloved Community together.
