I had a great time visiting @presidiosf.bsky.social and taking in the incredible views and history that make it such a special place. Thanks to CEO Jean Fraser for the behind-the-scenes look at one of the Bay Area’s true gems. If you haven’t been recently, it’s definitely worth a visit!
And this is why I'm working on new legislation to address the specific types of incidents highlighted here. The federal government needs to take a more active role in how this emerging tech is developed.

Public transit workers keep our communities moving! Thank you to Amalgamated Transit Union and representatives from @samtrans.com and @bart.gov for stopping by my DC office to talk about the invaluable service of our local union workers.🚆
As the World Cup begins and online sports gambling has become increasingly widespread, consumers deserve clear and honest information about the prediction market platforms they are using.

FINALLY. Today, House Democrats successfully pushed through our effort to stop Trump’s reckless and unpopular war with Iran – despite Republicans and Speaker Johnson who repeatedly tried to avoid this critical vote.

Thanks to NBC Bay Area for covering our work to improve safety at the most dangerous rail crossing in California. I've been honored to collaborate with @caltrain.com to bring home $3M in federal funding.
It's been my honor to collaborate with @caltrain.com, the City of Burlingame & San Mateo County Transportation Authority, to bring home this essential support for local transportation infrastructure & the Broadway Grade Separation Project.

Honored to share some #GoodNews 📰 for the @caltrain.com Broadway Grade Separation Project! Today I hosted a press conference to announce $3 million in federal funds that will go toward crucial safety improvements at the most dangerous rail crossing in California.
Happy #PrideMonth to everyone in CA-15 and across the country! I'm proud to represent a diverse LGBTQI+ community in San Francisco and San Mateo counties, and I'm committed to fighting in Congress with the @equality.house.gov for dignity, justice, and the right for everyone to live authentically.

Housing affordability is a major challenge across America & especially here in the Bay Area.
Thank you to nonprofit @mercyhousing.bsky.social for all you do & for showing me around your beautiful new affordable housing community & The Hub in Sunnydale, a vibrant community center in San Francisco.
We need reforms and a humane approach to immigration. But under Trump, people are being held longer and while Republicans sent $75B to ICE last summer, it continues to operate substandard facilities around the U.S. where death rates & illness have skyrocketed.

Yesterday I made an unannounced visit to an ICE detention center in California City to conduct oversight with three of my Democratic congressional colleagues.
Civilians are being held in prison-like conditions with inadequate access to mental health care and asylum judges.
On this #MemorialDay, we remember and honor the fallen.🇺🇸 I was honored to participate in this year’s Hillsborough Memorial Day Parade to commemorate the sacrifices of our service members and their families.
That's why I authored the Empty Lots to Housing Act to help communities tackle this issue and remove some of the unnecessary barriers that have been preventing communities from building much-needed transit-oriented housing. 🏠
Families across America are experiencing the housing crisis, but many state and local governments are prevented from helping due to outdated regulations.
I secured $14.5 MILLION for local community projects last year, and just submitted this year’s requests for improvements in public infrastructure, climate resilience, public health and more!
