For over a year I’ve been conducting oversight visits at Delaney Hall and have seen a reality far different from what the Trump Administration has been selling the American people.
📢: Are you interested in working for the 8th this fall in Jersey City or Washington, D.C.?
Applications are now open! Our interns play an integral role in keeping the office running—from speaking with constituents to giving Capitol tours and so much more.
Thank you to everyone who continues to demand freedom for those inside Delaney Hall. We won’t stop until every individual is released and this facility is shut down.
Emanuel was detained in December and held in isolation for over four months. After meeting with Emanuel multiple times, confronting ICE on his situation and helping bring his story to the public, he was finally freed from Delaney Hall today.
ICYMI: We will continue to shine a light on the abuses inside Delaney Hall, share the stories of those impacted, and take relentless action until those being held there are released and Delaney Hall is shut down for good.
Shut down Delaney Hall.
Democrats today reasserted Congressional authority by passing the War Powers Resolution.
Both the House and Senate have made it clear: the American people don't want this war. Now, the eyes of the nation are on Trump.
The inhumane conditions at Delaney Hall have caused needless suffering and preventable harm for far too long.
We're demanding immediate action and accountability from DHS, the release of all vulnerable individuals, and the permanent closure of Delaney Hall.
She is with her family and can now graduate high school. Rep. McIver has an incredible constituent back home in the 10th. Welcome home, Ariadna!
There are no shortage of challenges we are facing which is why we fight so hard for our community. And today, I am so thankful that Ariadna is finally back home in Orange!
📍Senior Festival in Jersey City
☀️ Our seniors are the heart of our community. Great stopping by to celebrate and connect with some of our favorite residents! I'll always protect our seniors and ensure they have the resources they need. 🫶
So Jeff Van Drew (the guy who said drones over NJ came from an Iranian mothership to attack our state) is who Republicans picked as their eyes & ears inside Delaney Hall (after ICE released pregnant women & 18 yos)? Got it.

🚨 Casework Highlight 🚨
A Jersey City resident reached out for help with the IRS after a large check for their business was stolen and hadn't been reissued after two years.
Our casework team was able to quickly reach out to the IRS, and the check was reissued in about a month.
Happy #PrideMonth to the 8th District and beyond!
As a member of the Equality Caucus, I will always fight to uplift our LGBTQ+ community, ensuring everyone can proudly and freely be their authentic self.🏳️🌈
📍Meeting with Computers 4 People to discuss how we can partner in Congress to expand reliable internet and digital literacy training.
📍Grand reopening of Ercolanos, a Jersey City staple, at the historic Miss America Diner.
