No one should ever feel unsafe in a place of worship or learning. We must remain absolutely unyielding in our fight against Islamophobia anywhere and everywhere it exists.
The Trump Administration is taking people in our communities with protected status and sending them to countries that cannot support them. We will fight this Administration every step of the way.
📍 Scholarship Dinner in Elizabeth 👏 Such an honor to join Councilman Frank Cuesta to help present students with their scholarships tonight and celebrate such an incredible achievement. I'll always support the dreams of our youth! Their future is bright—and I'll keep fighting for them in D.C.
Families shouldn't have to struggle to put food on the table. While food insecurity has long been a challenge we've been working to address as a country, Trump & Republicans are actively making a crisis worse by cutting critical lifelines like SNAP. Deepening this hardship is entirely preventable.
Thank you to AFT New Jersey for the opportunity to discuss how we’re working in Congress to deliver for our teachers and educators. I will always stand with our educators to ensure every student has a safe space to learn and thrive. Our work continues!
This project thanks in part to federal funding allows our seniors to live with dignity in the neighborhoods they’ve given so much to. I’ll always fight for the resources our communities need to stay right here at home. 🤝
While Trump’s tariffs continue to make life more expensive for our families and small businesses, House Democrats are ready to lower costs and deliver meaningful relief. Important conversation, more work to do.
📍Kicking off PATH service increases 🎉 🚆 Such a privilege to work alongside PANYNJ, HudCo Streets, and so many advocates to make these changes a reality & we’ll keep working to make sure these upgrades deliver for our communities.
Weeks after deporting Adriana to the DRC and after a federal judge ordered for her return, the Trump Administration claims they don’t know where she is. The truth? She is exactly where ICE left her.
House Republicans blocked my amendment to stop the Trump Admin from punishing VA workers for mourning their colleague, Alex Pretti, who was killed by federal agents in broad daylight. Republicans chose taxpayer-funded intimidation over protecting federal workers.
My dear friend, Bill Pascrell, embodied the spirit of New Jersey and his hometown of Paterson (“one t”). Grateful to Hudson County Exec Craig Guy for renaming the Hudson County Public Safety Training Center in Bill’s honor as a tribute to a man who gave everything to the community he loved.
