3/ I was proud to recognize the Hockessin Colored School #107C, a former one-room schoolhouse that became one of three locations in Delaware designated as affiliate sites of the Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park.
2/ Seventy-two years later, we remember the courage of those who fought to overturn “separate but equal,” & recommit ourselves to the work that still remains to create a fairer, more equitable world for all. Today is also an opportunity to reflect on the unique role Delaware played in this history.

3/ For centuries, Mother African has, with prayer and persistence, turned every challenge into moments of change. In the face of slavery, it founded August Quarterly and played a central role in the Underground Railroad. In the shadow of Jim Crow, it has pushed for civil rights and voting rights.
1/ My heart breaks for the Mother African Union Church community as they awake to the news of this morning’s fire. Mother African is a staple of Delaware’s Black community, our state’s faith traditions, and the liberation struggle it was founded in more than 210 years ago.
2/ In Delaware, we carry the memory of heroes like Matthew T. Snook and Dennis F. Kelly. Supporting law enforcement means ensuring officers have the training, resources, and support they need to do their jobs safely, effectively, and with the trust of the communities they serve.
2/ Whether it's increasing increasing accountability and transparency or ensuring stronger consumer protections, I am committed to ensuring we curb the devastating impacts of scams and helping victims to recover from these harmful practices. Read more here ⬇️
1/ Today is National Scam Survivor’s Day—a day to raise awareness for the impact of financial scams that impact Americans across the country. I am proud to be leading the way in protecting vulnerable Delawareans through my introduction of the bipartisan Ending Scam Credit Repair Act.
It was a great to meet with the President & VP of the Delaware Build Trades Council to discuss the future of DE infrastructure & economic development. From protecting workers in skilled trades to expanding the Port of Wilmington—I am proud to continue supporting critical initiatives for DE’s growth!
Rep. McBride meets with the President and Vice President of the Delaware Build Trades Council of Delaware.
I sat down with Gloria Ho of the Delaware State Education Association to talk about what students, educators, and families are facing right now. Public education needs investment, stability, and respect—not fear and cuts. Young people deserve supportive classrooms where they can thrive.
Rep. McBride sits with Gloria Ho in her Washington DC office.
Glad to have had the chance to meet Natalia Gatti, Delaware’s Poetry Out Loud winner, while she was in DC for the national finalists reception. I'm grateful for young people like Natalia who remind us of the power of art, expression, and using your voice. Keep making Delaware proud!

I enjoyed getting to connect with leaders from the Delaware Department of Education's CTE team to talk about how we can prepare students for careers with impact and innovation. When we invest in career and technical education, we invest in mobility and opportunity.
