I'm advocating for $3M in federal funds to come to WA-09 to help establish the Bellevue Grand Connection 1-405 Crossing. This project will connect people walking, biking, and rolling across 1-405 to jobs, transit, and housing.

I led a letter with five of my Washington colleagues demanding answers following an immigration raid in Kent. Raids like this arbitrarily target hardworking community members and only serve to tear families apart, stoke fear, and undermine trust in local law enforcement.
The wealth gap is our nation is deepening, and the working-class will fall unless we have the programs to help them. We need basic need programs now more than ever.
The budget that House Republicans caved for included trillion in cuts to Medicaid and food assistance in order to finance the $7 trillion in giveaways to billionaires and big corporations.
This team will be trained to de-escalate conflicts and connect individuals with the resources and services they need to succeed.
I'm advocating for $3.216M in federal funds to come to WA-09 to help establish a new Public Safety Team for the Chinatown International District through Purpose Dignity Action in Seattle.

On this day in 1890, the city of Kent, then called the Titusville, was officially incorporated. Proud to represent a part of this great community.
Those who don't know where their next healthy meal is coming from need stability and support, not President Trump's chaos.
The growing federal and state funding uncertainty and slashing of funds will only hurt Washington families, increase food insecurity, and foster further government distrust.
The Trump administration's reckless cuts and the House Republican spending bill are decimating crucial programs in King County.
Seward Park hosted a great Eritrean Independence Day celebration this weekend. It was great to see you there.

I joined some folks in SeaTac at an AARP Roundtable. I am working to protect seniors and their benefits and thank you for taking the time to share your insight.
The Trump administration is dishonoring our veterans and weakening our country all for the sake of Donald Trump's power.
I spoke at a rally on Saturday at the Seattle VA advocating for our veterans and federal workers.
This weekend, I joined AFGE Local 3197 members at the Seattle VA to stand up for the federal employees who were laid off from the hospital. We need to support our veterans, federal workforce, and the services they provide, rather than turning our backs on them.
