Trump’s trying to run another country when he can’t even run America. He’s failed to lower costs and failed to fix health care. He should be focused on running America, not Venezuela & their oil.
Health care costs are skyrocketing because Trump & Congressional Republicans didn’t extend ACA tax credits. Should be an easy yes when @housedemocrats.bsky.social force a vote to lower costs. Let’s see how many House Republicans join us to help 22 million Americans get covered.
Trump has no plan for Americans seeing grocery and health care costs skyrocket. Now he says he’s running Venezuela with no plan, too? House Republicans need to step up to prevent Trump from starting new wars for oil & conquest and focus on lowering costs.
1/ RM @meeks.house.gov: Trump claims the U.S. “will run Venezuela” and is willing to put “boots on the ground” and take Venezuelan oil. This is the language of forever wars, committing U.S. forces and American taxpayers to a dangerous and open-ended foreign occupation.
Trump on Venezuela: "We're going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition"
Opposing Maduro isn’t a permission slip for regime change, oil grabs, or ignoring Congress. Congress must stop Trump from acting with impunity. My full statement on his unconstitutional military action:
By slamming the brakes on offshore wind projects, Trump is jeopardizing union jobs and forcing higher energy costs on Rhode Islanders. Proud to stand with RI leaders to fight back against Trump’s anti-job growth and pro high-cost agenda.
Secretary Rubio said food & lifesaving aid would continue under Trump’s foreign aid freeze. Instead, cuts pushed pregnant women & children in Kenya toward starvation. On @houseforeign.bsky.social, I’m fighting to restore lifesaving aid and American leadership.
As we welcome 2026, we look ahead with hope and a shared belief in possibilities. The New Year is a time for fresh starts, stronger connections, and optimism. Here’s to a meaningful, purposeful, and hope filled 2026 for all!
This holiday season, Smithfield’s Marco Conti is helping Make-A-Wish kids see their dreams come true. A big thanks to Marco for spreading cheer to local kids with critical illnesses and their families.
Joined some of my youngest constituents at the Providence Children’s Museum to count down to the ‘Noon’ Year. With fun music and a mini New Year’s ball drop, it was a great celebration to kick off 2026 early! 🎉
Tens of thousands of Rhode Islanders will begin 2026 unable to afford health care because House Republicans let Affordable Care Act tax credits expire at midnight tonight. Republicans should join @housedemocrats.bsky.social in voting to restore the credits & stop the health cost hikes.
By cutting the Social Security Administration workforce and reducing customer service, Trump is making it harder for access to benefits. They’re breaking SS and will try to force a bad fix: privatization. Americans earn Social Security, and I’ll keep fighting to protect it.
For months, Rhode Islanders have shared how their health care costs will skyrocket when ACA tax credits expire because of House Republicans’ inaction. I’m going to keep fighting to stop the cuts, extend the tax credits, and save health care.
