Last night, for the second night of Hanukkah, I joined Mayor Brett Smiley and the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island to celebrate the power of light at the Providence Hanukkah Spectaculah!
Today is the first of seven days celebrating Kwanzaa!

There’s always a Rhode Island connection — Clement Clarke Moore, the author of “The Night Before Christmas” lived in Newport.
This year’s White House Christmas ornament comes all the way from Lincoln’s Beacon Design in #RI01.
This special ornament serves as a tribute to President Carter in the shape of an anchor to highlight his service in the U. S. Navy and represent hope.⚓️🎄

Had a great time with the Chad Brown Alumni Association, RI State Police, Providence Housing Authority, and La Salle Academy Lacrosse celebrating the holiday season and giving out toys today in Providence!
Glad that the Senate passed the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct last night to repeal penalties that rob educators, first responders, and other public service workers of their Social Security.
Looking forward to seeing this essential legislation signed into law!

It’s a no from me. We deserve better.
Servicemembers and federal workers going without pay, long TSA lines, spotty food safety inspections, and general chaos seem to be on the House GOP Christmas list.
We wouldn't be in this mess if Republicans hadn't bowed to Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
