I’ve got this Truman quote in my office as a reminder that leadership is about taking responsibility. Secretary Hegseth has proven he’s incapable of this, and now he’s throwing staff under the bus. He should’ve been fired weeks ago & he sure as hell needs to go now. www.nbcnews.com/politics/nat...

Happy Earth Day 🌎 All of us have a right to clean air and water. It's up to us to make sure our kids and grandkids have a clean and healthy planet to call home for generations to come.
People hate corruption like this for good reason—nobody should be lining their own pockets (or making their own meme coins) off public office. www.rollingstone.com/culture/cult...

Bad for school kids, bad for farmers, and sure as hell won’t “make America healthy again.”
Some good news on federal grants and funding for Reserve Township! I'll never stop fighting to bring home dollars to invest in making life better for us in Western PA.
I've gotten a lot of calls and emails from constituents worried about how DOGE is plundering our government—and I am too. Recently, we've learned DOGE has some of Western PA's most beloved cultural institutions in its sights. Ridiculous! I'm fighting back.
The path back to the American Dream is clear: economic populism that unrigs the system for hardworking folks & takes on the corruption that did the rigging in the first place. I'm proud to help lead a group of lawmakers to shift our economy to be one that actually works for hardworking people.
Powerful piece from Ryan Holiday about the Trump Administration’s ridiculous and dangerous book banning at the Naval Academy, my alma mater: www.nytimes.com/2025/04/19/o...
It's ridiculous that the Trump Admin is taking away $$$ from Western PA to buy an ambulance or control flooding. Everyone around here should know that the President is abandoning important safety projects to pay for fiscally reckless tax giveaways to corporations & billionaires. This is boneheaded.
"My wife and I have an adult son who became permanently disabled before age 22, and receives SSI/Medicaid. What happens to his care? If not for Medicaid, his meds would cost $2500/mo."
I'll keep fighting for his family, and for all of us.
I'll also keep sharing stories from constituents, like a father in Wilkinsburg who worked for 45 years but is terrified of how this Administration's pillaging of our government could derail his retirement:
Why? to give more tax handouts to billionaires and huge corporations, saddling us with trillions of dollars in debt.
It’s a fiscally reckless grift.
I’ve been speaking out for months and I won't stop fighting back. (2/2)
Republican politicians in Washington are trying to rip away healthcare, targeting Medicaid with billions of cuts.
This funds healthcare for kids with disabilities, opioid addiction treatment, pre-natal care for moms, and nursing homes for seniors. (1/2)
Now, with the Social Security Administration being told to completely ignore Congressional inquiries, I'm demanding a meeting with the Acting Social Security Commissioner to get answers for the 180,000+ Western Pennsylvanians I represent who count on Social Security. (2/2)
Today is Social Security Day of Action, a day where I'm continuing to fight back against this Administration's attacks on our earned benefits. (1/2)
Seems like now's as good a time as ever to re-up this.

Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBMs) are a prime example of using anticompetitive power to crush small businesses that are the lifeblood of our communities—like Towne Drugs, an independent pharmacy in Aspinwall.
This has got to change. (2/2)
This week, I joined colleagues down in Washington to launch the 'Monopoly Busters Caucus.'
Our focus is taking on the corporate power that is stifling growth and ripping off workers, small businesses, & consumers. (1/2)
Chag Pesach Sameach to all our Jewish friends and neighbors in Western PA starting the celebration of Passover tonight!
