We must not abandon Ukraine — to do so betrays our democratic values and puts our own nation at risk.
The only president happy today is Mr. Putin.
My faith teaches me to pray for the bully, which I will do. Yet my heart, head, and soul guide me to stand strong against such disgraceful behavior by an American president.
I urge my colleagues in Congress to stand together for Ukraine.
I condemn President Trump and Vice President Vance’s behavior—and call upon each to publicly apologize to President Zelenskyy and to our ally Ukraine.
Instead of demonstrating leadership, they acted like two schoolyard bullies.
Under any circumstance, to insult and demean Ukraine and President Zelenskyy’s fight for liberty is unjustifiable.
And to do so from the Oval Office — an emblem of our own democracy — is repugnant, embarrassing, and un-American.
This afternoon at the White House, President Trump and Vice President Vance looked into the eyes of a man fighting for his country’s freedom from tyranny and told him to say “thank you.” 🧵
For our final Black History Month Spotlight, we're reaching for the stars!
In 1992, Mae Jemison became the first African American woman to orbit into space on the space shuttle Endeavor.
As an astronaut, doctor, and Peace Corps officer, Jemison has dedicated her life to service. After a career at…
Thank you to Barrack students and staff for making the trip — keep up the great advocacy!
What a treat to welcome students from Bryn Mawr's Barrack Hebrew Academy to D.C. this week!
We discussed issues ranging from the freedom of speech to the environment to foreign affairs — and it was encouraging to see young people dive into their engagement.
As a former educator, I know that how we educate our children determines our future.
We must fight for greater investments for our students — not tear down our public education system to give billionaires another tax break.
Today, I joined my colleagues on the Appropriations Committee to call out Donald Trump and Elon Musk's illegal attempts to dismantle the Department of Education.
Tonight I voted "no" on the Republican budget blueprint — that prioritizes the wealthiest and hurts our most vulnerable.
My full statement:
Medicaid provides healthcare to our most vulnerable — children, seniors, low-income families, and people with disabilities.
In PA, that’s nearly 3 million people.
Democrats stood together to make it clear: We will fight every Republican attempt to cut this critical funding.
On the solemn 3rd anniversary of Russia’s brutal, illegal war on Ukraine, I stand with those who fight to preserve their young democracy.
President Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine is a global embarrassment.
All elected leaders — including Republicans — must demand better.
After Trump illegally froze $1.2 billion in federal funds for PA, Governor Shapiro sued.
I met with the Governor last week and alerted the Appropriations Committee of our concerns.
Now, every dollar is accessible.
Democrats will continue to fight Trump & Musk's unlawful actions.
Donald Trump and his administration should be ashamed.
At every turn, Trump is betraying Ukraine, our allies, and our national security. He is putting us on the path to American weakness.

Our next Black History Month spotlight is the late Charles Blockson.
Born in 1933 in Norristown, Charles Blockson was a prolific writer, collector, scholar, and activist. He dedicated his life to the preservation of African American history and donated his collection to Temple University.

Thank you to everyone at RRC for creating this welcoming, inclusive hub in our community — and for inviting me to see your amazing new setup!
The Resilience Resource Center in Huntingdon Valley serves as a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth and their families — and offers free mental health services and career skills training!
The work they do is crucial, and I'm eager to help RRC expand their services in any way I can.
After the Administration met with Russian officials in Riyadh, President Trump has made the false and dangerous claim that Ukraine began the war with Russia.
This language is reprehensible. My full statement:
