Congressional casework teams are crucial to helping constituents with problems from the IRS and Social Security to immigration and passports – I couldn’t do my work in Congress without them.

My team and I are meant to be here for you on your hardest days. Whether it’s an issue with your passport, a tax return, or anything else, you can always call 410-832-8890 to speak to a member of #TeamElfreth.
Since 1973, the Pumphrey community in Anne Arundel County has set aside a day every year to come together and reconnect with neighbors, old friends, and family. I was so grateful to wrap up my week with Delegate Simmons and surrounded by great food and company at this amazing local tradition!
I've joined fellow Maryland Representative @raskin.house.gov & members of the House Judiciary Committee in calling on the Court of Appeals to stop the Trump Administration’s unconstitutional and reckless funding freezes that are preventing Americans from getting the resources they need and deserve.
The Constitution clearly states that Congress has the power to appropriate federal funds – yet President Trump and the OMB have illegally frozen billions in funds already appropriated by Congress, including funds for education, community safety, and disaster relief.
That’s why it was so fitting that my colleagues @repkweisimfume.bsky.social and @vanhollen.senate.gov led the effort in Congress to name a Baltimore post office to honor Congressman Cummings’ life and legacy for generations to come.
Congressman Elijah Cummings was a true public servant. In Congress, he fought for all Baltimoreans and Americans leading the House Oversight Committee and championing civil servants and critical education and housing reform.
I’m excited to announce that we’re back with more town halls! Please join me on Monday, September 15th at 7:30 PM for our next telephone town hall. Stay tuned for details to RSVP and dial in!
On deck for October: An in-person townhall with @brookelierman.bsky.social & @oagmaryland.bsky.social.
Our veterans fought and served all of us, now it's our turn to serve them and push back against these unlawful attacks.
Since January, President Trump has illegally fired tens of thousands of veterans from the federal workforce & made it more challenging for veterans to get the care & benefits they deserve – now the Administration is pushing the VA to eliminate labor contracts for more than 400,000 federal employees.
It’s one of my favorite traditions in #MD03, not only for the tasty crabs and the great conversation, but for the amazing cause!
🦀 For 80 years, the @Rotary Club of Annapolis has held an annual Crab Feast to give back to the community. Just last year, Rotary donated over $1 million in proceeds from the event to local nonprofits and organizations that support our most vulnerable.
On the House Armed Services Committee, I am proud to represent and honor all of our active duty military and veterans.
Today is Purple Heart Day, a time to honor our servicemembers for their bravery in service of our country. The Purple Heart – one of the oldest awards in the military for those wounded or killed in action – recognizes sacrifice and service that most of us can only imagine making for our country.
Whether it’s on the ground or in Congress championing legislation like the bipartisan Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act, I’m proud to support those in the line of duty.
Our first responders are there for our neighbors on their most challenging days, & National Night Out is an opportunity to recognize their incredible work & sacrifices for our communities. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to join two amazing National Night Out celebrations in Annapolis & Columbia.
My heart goes out to the injured soldiers, their families, & the whole Fort Stewart community. I’m grateful to the Army and first responders for their swift action. Our servicemembers and their families make countless sacrifices on behalf of our nation - they should always feel safe on their bases.
Glad to see the USDA rolling out this new grant funding to get more blue catfish out of the Bay!
Getting invasive blue catfish out of the Chesapeake Bay requires all hands on deck. Alongside legislation like the MAWS Act, which incentivizes blue catfish for pet food, we also need to ramp up operations and expand the market for human consumption.
As a member of the Lowering Cost Caucus, I will keep fighting for common-sense economic policies that serve our consumers here in Maryland and beyond.
