Donald Trump signed WPS into law in 2017. Marco Rubio and Kristi Noem were co-sponsors and Mike Waltz was co-chair of the House WPS caucus. Now they are Cabinet members, and today Secretary Hegseth declared that women have no value or role in peace negotiations or mediation work.

I am thankful for the dedicated librarians working every day to support our children and keep our libraries running, particularly while the Trump Administration is dismantling the Department of Education, defunding libraries and museums, and banning books.
