It's #TaxDay2025 and thanks to the Biden-Harris administration, you may be eligible to file for free online with IRS DirectFile. Go to directfile.irs.gov.
As a veteran, I will do everything in my power to protect their hard-earned benefits. We owe it to those who served this nation, no matter what Donald Trump thinks of them.
They're worried about rumors that Coatesville VA and other area services will be eliminated. They're outraged that fellow veterans are being fired from federal agencies. The Trump Administration’s chaotic cuts to the VA and across the federal government are hurting our veterans and their loved ones.
I was grateful but also heartbroken to talk recently with veterans in our community who are reeling from the cuts to the VA. They are angry about longer wait times and reduced access to healthcare services because of workforce changes. 🧵
I talked to @militarytimes.bsky.social about the Pentagon rolling back policy for pregnant aviators that will ultimately hurt the career trajectory of female pilots.

This Administration has proven time and again that they can't be trusted with information, classified or otherwise. Keep DOGE and Elon Musk out of the VA. Proud to sponsor this bill w @repherbconaway.bsky.social and @carbajal.house.gov today.
It is already illegal for non-citizens to vote! @HouseGOP's 'proof of citizenship' bill will force troops stationed overseas to return home to vote and make it nearly impossible for women who have changed their last name to cast a ballot. This bill is pure theater and I was proud to oppose it.
Today Republicans voted to advance their irresponsible budget. New vote, same old playbook: slash Medicaid, increase costs, and decimate programs for families, vets and older Americans. Plus the rubber stamp Republicans voted to limit Congress' ability to stop Trump's reckless tariffs. I voted NO.

I’ve led the charge to ban stock trading by Members of Congress for YEARS —with reformers on both sides of the aisle.
The Speaker must put our bill on the Floor for a vote.
Enough is enough!

It is astounding and profoundly undemocratic that the so-called "party of law and order" is trying to pass a bill to strangle our court system and keep courts from enforcing the law when Donald Trump breaks it. This bill is blatantly unconstitutional, and I voted against it.
Republicans seem incapable of putting the interests of their voters over the bottom lines of their wealthiest donors. I voted against their efforts to eliminate the $5 cap on overdraft fees.
Your wallet is being cleaned out by expert pickpockets. This is criminal. Literally criminal. I call for an IMMEDIATE investigation into who knew what, when, and what they did with the info. You can bet the Admin and many here in DC are considerably richer tonight than they were this morning.
Thank you, Admiral Paparo, for acknowledging that soft power prevents major escalation and conflict, and protects our collective national security.
I asked if our adversaries are increasing their influence in countries where US humanitarian aid and disaster response is gone. He said "The People's Republic of China sees these opportunities and they seize them." 🧵
"The People's Republic of China sees these opportunities and they seize them."
During the @HASCDemocrats posture hearing today on the Indo-Pacific region, Admiral Paparo confirmed what we already knew about the Trump Administration's dismantling of USAID. 🧵

Book Purge at Service Academy a 'Blatant Attack' on Free Speech, Democratic Lawmakers Say
As GK Chesterton said, "Education is simply the soul of a society as it passed from one generation to another." I joined my House Armed Services colleagues to defend the First Amendment and demand Secretary Hegseth put an end to Trump's censorship at our military academy libraries.
Just in time for Easter, nest eggs are being pillaged by predators set loose in the henhouse. We the People are being fleeced by Pres Trump. Meanwhile billionaires are still billionaires. Tell Trump and every complicit Republican that this is atrocious. All this winning is bankrupting Americans.
