This proposed budget would cut Medicaid and Affordable Care Act coverage for 16 million people, cut hundreds of millions in funding to SNAP food assistance, remove AI protections, and more.
Congress’ proposed budget is an attack on working people.
Antisemitism is very real in our world, the attacks in D.C. and Boulder showed that. But it is not antisemitic to say the Palestinian people deserve food, water and medicine. Dignity is not political, it is humane.
It's never too late to do the right thing.

My statement on the arrest of California SEIU President David Huerta.
The more we learn about House Republicans' Big, Brutal Bill, the worse it gets.
TLDR: They're making life HARDER for working people just to give millionaires and billionaires ANOTHER tax break.

15 years ago, the disastrous Citizens United decision legitimized corruption.
10 years ago, we decided enough was enough.
With a strong track record of anti-corruption work and 4 million dedicated members, I’m so proud of the organization @endcitizensunited.bsky.social has become. #ECU10

I dug into Trump's budget over the weekend and here are 3 things you might not see in the news that I think are really important to know about.
When your sales pitch is, “No really people won’t die, trust me, please” you know you’re doing it wrong.
BREAKING: A new analysis has found that under the Republican budget bill our national debt will begin driving up interest rates, almost immediately.
The effect? 5 years from now, a typical 30-year mortgage in Oregon will cost almost $19,000 more in interest alone.

Workers’ rights are under attack in the U.S.
In the 2025 Global Rights Index, the Trump admin was cited for taking a “wrecking ball to the collective labor rights of workers” and bringing anti-union billionaires into policymaking.
We’re fighting back.

This month, celebrate Pride! Renew your commitment to creating a world where everyone can live free from harassment and discrimination.
Let's work together to make that world a reality.
LGBTQIA2S+ rights = human rights = worker rights.

Who you are and who you love should never determine your safety or your rights at work.
The IAM fights for every member to stand proud – with dignity, equality, and solidarity.
Our fight to save Medicaid is for people like Florence.
Florence has a rare neuromuscular disease, thanks to Medicaid she gets the care she needs. That allows her to raise her child, care for her mom who has heart failure and for her elderly dad.
Medicaid is the promise her family is built on.
Outsourcing our safety & national security to greedy corporations is a recipe for disaster.
As our air traffic control staffing crisis continues, some of my colleagues want to privatize our ATC.
Here's my idea to retain ATC staff: treat them with respect, pay them well, & make them feel valued.
On Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms.
Let’s honor their sacrifice by not sending more of our best and brightest to fight in forever foreign wars.

"Never before in recent history has a group of lawmakers so deliberately and knowingly worked to inflict so much extreme devastation and financial burden on working people in America."

The Supreme Court’s decision to allow President Trump to fire NLRB and MSPB members is a gift to union-busting CEOs and a slap in the face of every worker. Workers deserve a fair shot to join and form unions, but the court has turned its back on them. aflcio.org/press/releas...
