Cry harder
Trump brought Prop 50 upon himself
I missed Trump’s lavish Great Gatsby party that he threw last week while he threatened to cut off food assistance to hungry kids during the Republican shutdown.
But I did meet the amazing leadership of Meals on Wheels West, and helped deliver food to constituents today.

Yes, this is real.
Trump was throwing a Great Gatsby party while 42 million Americans faced uncertainty about getting food assistance.
Today is Day 34 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders:
1. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House.
2. GOP making deep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and ACA.
3. Democrats are fighting to lower costs, cancel the cuts and save healthcare for Americans.
NBC poll shows we are in Blue Tsunami territory. Why?
1. House Democrats have been in DC the last 5 weeks fighting to lower costs, save healthcare and reopen government.
Where are House Republicans? STILL ON VACATION.
2. Americans are fed up with Trump’s authoritarian crap and corruption.
“.. Democrats lead Republicans in the fight for Congress by 8 points, 50%-42%, the largest lead for either party on the congressional ballot in the NBC News poll since the 2018 midterms.

California is crushing it with #YesOnProp50!
The 5 Dem seats CA creates are better than the 5 GOP seats that TX created.
IN ADDITION, Prop 50 strengthens 5 Frontline Dem seats AND 3 Frontline adjacent seats.
Prop 50 helps Dems in over a dozen districts.
ADVANTAGE: Dems.
Today is Halloween and have you noticed candy prices are higher? So are overall grocery prices, which are surging.
The economic policies of Trump and his rubber stamp Republican Congress are crushing Americans.
Today is Day 31 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders:
1. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House.
2. GOP making deep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and ACA.
3. Democrats are fighting to lower costs, cancel the cuts and save healthcare for Americans.
Today is Day 30 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders:
1. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House.

Joined @demwomencaucus.bsky.social and the Democratic Steering & Policy Committee to highlight the expensive cost of healthcare and childcare.
Republicans need to end their vacations and work with us to address the needs of the American people.
The Trump Administration is trying to intimidate voters in California.
WE. WILL. NOT. YIELD.
Make sure you vote if you are in CA, and vote yes on Prop 50. Vote by mail, or drop off your ballot at a drop box, or vote in person.
Stick it to the Trump Administration by voting.
Today is Day 29 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders:
1. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House.
2. GOP making deep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and ACA.
3. Democrats are fighting to lower costs, cancel the cuts and save healthcare for Americans.
The American people understand the following truths:
1. The economic policies of Trump and Republicans are crushing the American people.
2. Republicans increased healthcare costs.
3. Republicans could end the shutdown tomorrow.
That’s why Trump’s approval is the lowest ever.
Trump polling, looking at the numbers comparing every pollster only against their own previous polls:
The latest Economist/YouGov poll has Trump at 39% approve/58% disapprove (-19).
This is the lowest net approval Trump has gotten with this poll this year.

Pleased to have joined @housedemocrats.bsky.social to share our gratitude for the dedication and hard work of the U.S. Capitol Police.
Their work to keep the Capitol office buildings, staff, and visitors safe is deeply appreciated, and that is especially true during this shutdown.

House Democrats are back in DC as Republicans continue their 5th week of vacation.
It’s time Republicans come back and work with us to fix the healthcare crisis that they caused.
Republicans, who are still on vacation during a Republican shutdown, created a health care crisis. House Democrats are fighting back. We’re hosting a hearing on the importance of preserving accessible health and caregiving services. Tune in now.

Trump’s economy sucks.
And the American people know it.
U.S. consumer confidence declines again, with pessimism over increasing inflation and a weakening job market.
