We're 19 days into Trump's war in Iran and spending billions of dollars while costs skyrocket. We could be using just a fraction of that money to make sure hardworking Americans have access to healthcare.
The U.S. Senate is debating the SAVE America Act, the greatest voter suppression bill ever to be considered by both houses of Congress. This is an attempt to take over our elections, it has to be stopped.
The SAVE America Act is a blatant attempt to undermine our elections and make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to vote. Proud to stand with @padilla.senate.gov and voting rights advocates today. Together, we will fight any effort to take over our elections.
Great to meet with leaders from University of Rochester and partners in the fusion energy field during Fusion Day. The Laboratory for Laser Energetics and innovators across our region are helping drive advanced science and high-tech jobs. Proud to support Rochester’s leadership in this field.
I'm heartened to see a long-overdue January 6 plaque finally installed in the Capitol. Today, I'm leading a group of my colleagues to visit the plaque and honor the law enforcement officers who served so bravely that day.
The SAVE America Act threatens to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters, expose sensitive personal data, and create chaos for election officials across the country. We won't let that happen. Watch my press conference with Senator Alex Padilla here:
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today is a chance to celebrate Irish heritage, enjoy time with friends and family, and appreciate the traditions that make our communities so vibrant. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful celebration!
I'll be live on Way Too Early with Ali Vitali to discuss the so-called SAVE America Act and Donald Trump's attempts to silence voters in just a few minutes. Tune in.
Congratulations to Rochester natives Melvin Council and Jaden Bradley on making the NCAA tournament! Our community is full of talented young people chasing their dreams, and these student-athletes are making Rochester proud on the national stage.
Louise Slaughter was a dear friend, a trailblazer, and a champion for families in our community and across the nation. Today marks eight years since she passed. I am better for having known her and our country is better for her years of dedicated service.
The plaque honoring the men and women who defended the Capitol against a violent insurrection on January 6, 2021, has finally been hung. But not without years of shameful delay from Speaker Johnson and House Republicans.
I joined members of NYS Public Employees Federation this morning for their Legislative Breakfast. NY's public employees serve our communities every day. I’m grateful for the chance to hear directly from them about the challenges they’re facing and how we can continue supporting their vital work.
I joined Sheriff Baxter today for an update on their innovative programs to improve public safety across our community. I'm grateful to our local law enforcement officers who work tirelessly to keep us safe.
We gave a $5 trillion tax cut to the wealthiest Americans and didn’t ask them for a single thing in return. But we’re creating barriers for people who are struggling, most of whom are working, just to get a little help with groceries. It’s disgraceful.
I am horrified by the violence at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan.   No one should fear for their safety while gathering to worship. I'm praying for everyone affected, and I'm grateful for the swift response of law enforcement & first responders.
