Had an urgent call with Plan USA International, a Providence nonprofit empowering women & girls worldwide through education—now facing an uncertain future due to Trump & Musk’s power grab.
Rhode Islanders are fed up with the chaos.
Proud to celebrate Rhode Island’s deep Irish roots—especially as someone with family from County Leitrim on my mother’s side! 🇮🇪
Joined the Friends of Ireland Caucus to meet with Ambassador Geraldine Byrne Nason and honor the Irish Americans who helped build our state. Our bond remains strong!
The workers of IFPTE 400 keep Rhode Island running!
🚧 RIDOT engineers keep our roads safe.
🌳 RIDEM biologists & foresters protect our environment.
I’m fighting to ensure they have the resources, fair wages, and job security they deserve!
Doctors and med students of the American Medical Association are on the front lines of care for Rhode Islanders.
Great to meet in DC to talk about making healthcare better, more affordable, and accessible for all. They’re essential, and I’m fighting to get them the support they need!
Honored to welcome RI Dominican leaders to my office during Dominican Heritage Month! 🇩🇴
Rhode Island is stronger because of the rich contributions of the Dominican community. Proud to celebrate this heritage and history!
Just wrapped up my first telephone town hall of 2025!
☎️ These are chaotic and challenging times but I am committed to fighting for every Rhode Islander.
Thank you to the more than 11,000 constituents who tuned in to help me take YOUR voices to Washington.
Trump & Musk are gutting the CFPB—the agency that protects people from financial scams.
We’re showing up in numbers to say we’re ready to fight back.
Three weeks into the Trump / Musk administration and I am feeling more optimistic than ever that we can beat back some of the worst parts of their agenda.
Here’s why:
Elon Musk and his cronies should never be given unchecked access to the government’s central payment system.
I’m supporting the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to safeguard your confidential data and ensure only vetted individuals with proper clearance can access these systems.
There’s been a lot of chaos in Washington. I know RIers are worried.
TOMORROW at 7:15 PM: I’m hosting a TeleTown Hall to hear from you & share urgent updates.

The U.S. Postal Service is a vital public institution that serves every American in every community.
I’m standing against any effort to privatize USPS and reaffirming that it must stay an independent federal agency, serving the American people—not corporate interests.
@maternova.bsky.social saves lives worldwide, serving moms and newborns while creating jobs in Rhode Island.
Trump and Musk’s illegal cuts are putting Maternova at risk, and are hurting people both at home and abroad.
In this week’s Homeland Security hearing, Republicans assured us that CISA - the lead agency protecting us from cyber attacks - was exempt from Elon’s staff cuts.
Wouldn’t you know it, they were wrong, again, and now our country is more vulnerable.

Most of the critical minerals that we need for cell phones, medical devices, laptops, & more are found in developing world countries.
Yet another reason why Trump & Musk’s cruel dismantling of USAID is just plain stupid.

Just wrapped up emergency meeting with RI environmental leaders in response to Trump & Musk illegally cutting off funding.
They are waging a war on affordable clean energy, threatening local jobs, the environment, and the planet's future—but we’re fighting back.
As a member of @naturalresources.bsky.social, I am committed to restoring funding for these vital programs.
This also impacts nonprofits the state relies on to do the work - like Capital Good Fund, West Bay, CCAP, and Tri-County Community Action, among others.
This could mean higher energy costs, a dirtier an environment and fewer jobs for RIers.
The Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources still can’t access more than $125 million of funding because of Trump/Musk.
Funding for conservation, solar, energy efficiency, and more is all impacted.
🚨I am hearing from community health centers all across Rhode Island that their federal funding has been cut off today.
This is the day after Elon’s team gained access to the federal health payment system.
Dangerous and totally unacceptable.
My amendments to protect addiction treatment funding from being cut & to stop American guns from arming cartels were BLOCKED by House R’s.
Disappointing. Beating fentanyl takes putting partisan politics aside.
