I joined members of Delaware/New Jersey Laborers Local 199 in Newark to hear from workers about the challenges facing construction & infrastructure workforce. Strong unions mean better wages, safer work, stronger benefits, & security for working families. I’ll always stand with Delaware workers.
Rep. McBride addresses a room of members of Laborers Local 199.
I met with Del. Supreme Court Chief Justice Collins Seitz to discuss judicial security & the importance of supporting state court systems. Courts are where people go during some of the hardest moments of their lives, & a justice system that is safe, accessible, & fair is a pillar of our democracy.
Rep. McBride poses with Chief Justice Seitz in her Washington DC office.
Marco Rubio and the president seem to think that Article V of the NATO alliance should only apply if the United States owns the land in question. What's worse, Rubio refused to commit to ensuring the U.S. upholds our end of the bargain.
Secretary Rubio agrees with the president that we "never got anything from NATO", even though the only time Article V has been invoked was to come to the defense of the United States after 9/11, resulting more than a thousand of lives lost by our European allies.
This is plainly wrong, a final nail in the coffin of the Voting Rights Act, and clearly seeks to disenfranchise by diminishing the power of Black voices. SCOTUS has once again proved it is willing to back-peddle its own precedent in favor of the whims of this president.
BREAKING: The U.S. Supreme Court allows Alabama to use a congressional map favoring Republicans in this year's elections.
What started as a coordinated attempt to rewrite the rules in favor of Congressional Republicans has, predictably, resulted in a Supreme Court decision that puts in use the very map that this same court had previously deemed racially discriminatory.
Happy Pride Month, Delaware! This month we celebrate the LGBTQ community and uplift those who — even in the face of hardships and indignities — continue to show up in every space and to shape their communities in impactful ways. May this Pride Month be full of joyous celebration and community.

2/ Together we paid respect to those who gave their last full measure of devotion in service to our nation and expressed our shared commitment to protecting and caring for the families that are left behind.
Smooches packed a lot into one day on the Hill: meetings with constituents & my friend @repjohnnyo.bsky.social, trying out some new material, & a full Capitol tour. I’d dare to say he was the most popular pup on the Hill for the day! Thank you to Brandywine Valley SPCA for bringing Smooches by!
Today, antisemitism is rising in our communities at alarming rates that should disturb us all. It is more important than ever that we renew our commitment to truly honor the legacy of Jewish Americans — past, present, and future.
May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to honor Jewish Americans in Delaware and across the country. For centuries, Jewish Americans have served in uniform, championed civil rights, and encouraged this country to live up to its founding promise of freedom and justice for all.
