While I'm relieved that Governor Shapiro and his family are safe — thanks to the swift actions of first responders — I am deeply disturbed by this unconscionable act. Political violence must never be tolerated in America.
Last night at the Governor’s Residence, we experienced an attack not just on our family, but on the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This kind of violence has become far too common in our society, and it has to stop.
MAGA Republicans have consistently exploited immigration to gain power, and now, they are exploiting it again to grow their power illegally. I simply can't stay silent on this abuse of power that puts all of us at risk. (2/2)
Great to join the Boys & Girls Club of Delaware last night for their Youth of the Year event where we celebrated Delaware’s exemplary young leaders. And congratulations to Brandon Rogers of the Clarence Fraim Boys & Girls Club in Wilmington - this year’s Youth of the Year!

Libraries are the cornerstones of our communities, providing vital resources, services, and support while fostering life-long learning. I’ll continue to push back against this misguided decision to protect the libraries we love and rely on. (2/2)
The Trump administration’s move to dismantle the Institute of Museum and Library Services threatens our beloved community libraries across Delaware—including the Lewes Public Library, which I visited last week. (1/2)
It was an honor to attend the Delaware National Guard’s deployment ceremony of the 101st PAD in support of the Kosovo Forces 35 Mission. Our state and the nation thank them and their families for their service, especially in this moment, as we work to protect our interests at home and abroad.

DEMEP has supported more than 400 local jobs and helped small and mid-sized businesses grow across all three counties. President Trump is ripping opportunity away from Delaware’s working families. (2/2)
Hours before Trump announced his drastic and damaging tariff policies, his administration defunded the program that boosted American manufacturing and innovation, including the Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership. (1/2)
