By the way, this isn’t hyperbole.
House Republicans are literally considering a proposal to kick 300,000 additional Americans off their Affordable Care Act healthcare plan to allocate $200 BILLION for the Iran War.
Isn’t it interesting how we always have billions of dollars for bombs but never enough for helping American citizens meet their basic needs?
FACT: Since 1989, the U.S. economy has added about 51 million jobs.
Roughly 50 million of those new jobs were under Democratic presidents.

The long lines at airports now falls squarely on Speaker Johnson's shoulders. The Senate unanimously passed a bill to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard.
But Speaker Johnson is refusing to let the House vote on it. If you miss your flight, remember, this shutdown is on him.

Trump wants to double the Pentagon's budget instead of paying for our health care.
Thank you Rep. Mark Pocan @pocan.house.gov for your work to cut Pentagon funding -- and for interviewing my teammate, @publiccitizen.bsky.social, @savannahewooten.bsky.social.

Nothing says 'winning' like a $30 billion+ war that costs you at the pump, and now even when you're trying to send a damn care package.
Today is Equal Pay Day, yet women earn just 76 cents for every dollar men make. That's unacceptable.
I am proud to co-sponsor the Paycheck Fairness Act alongside the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social, and I call on Congress to pass this critical step toward closing the wage gap.
Now is the perfect time to answer those questions and more with @savannahewooten.bsky.social from @publiccitizen.bsky.social on my podcast, With Liberty and Justice for Some.

The Pentagon is reportedly planning to ask Congress for an additional $200 billion for their war of choice with Iran, after spending more than $1 billion a day already.
Why should we continue to give more money to the Pentagon year after year, despite the fact that they are unable to pass an audit?
The $200 BILLION in additional funding the Trump administration has requested for the war in Iran is so outrageous that even Lauren Boebert opposes it.
Every one of my Republican colleagues should be saying the same thing.
Sending untrained, armed ICE agents to airports simply doesn’t make any sense.
Not only does this not make our skies safer, or help with the hours long lines, it doesn’t even help get our TSA agents paid. Trump extended this chaos when he rejected a potential bipartisan deal to pay TSA workers.
Great to see the nearly completed Wisconsin River Recreational Bridge, which will connect even more bikers, walkers, and runners to the Great Sauk Trail.
Over the years, I secured more than $3 million for this massive rail-to-trail project to connect major trails across Sauk County.
We could have had TSA paid by the end of the week, but the President said no deal.
That’s not coming from me. That’s coming from a Republican Senator.
Last night, I held a town hall in Sauk County, Wisconsin. It's always great to get out of DC and speak directly with my constituents!
As a small business owner for more than three decades, working people, the backbone of our community will always be my priority.
I just spoke with local small business owners in Baraboo.
One mother told me her healthcare premiums for her and her family now costs more than her mortgage, a direct result of Republicans eliminating the ACA tax credits. These are real people facing real consequences.
Who exactly is “we”?

16 years ago today, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, clearing the way for millions to access affordable health care.
Democrats won’t stop fighting for health care to be a reality for all.
A reminder that Democrats want TSA agents to be paid. We’ve supported targeted funding to keep them on the job. What we won’t do is sign off on a DHS funding bill that lets ICE continue to terrorize our communities. Congressional Republicans are refusing to separate the two for political gain.
Making Medicare Advantage the default option hurts patients and taxpayers, but it will make insurance execs a lot of money. I introduced a bill, the Protecting Medicare Choice Act, which will make this illegal.
