I joined @keating.house.gov's bipartisan bill to prevent Trump from taking military action against Greenland. It's absurd that Congress must prevent an American president from invading a NATO ally. But Trump's reckless actions continue to threaten U.S. and global security.
Trump withdrew the United States from 66 international treaties last week, including ones that focus on women's equality and addressing sexual violence during conflicts!
Why is no one talking about this?
The White House has pressured the Smithsonian to remove any references to Trump's impeachments.
Trump can try to sugarcoat history, but we will always know the truth.
I've officially joined @robinkelly.house.gov's effort to impeach Kristi Noem.
I'm encouraging every Republican and Democrat who supports the rule of law to join us. Holding Noem accountable for her incompetence and cruelty is the first step in reigning in ICE and CBP's reckless, illegal actions.
SIX athletes from Illinois have qualified for the Winter Olympic Games!🎉👏🏻 As an avid hockey player, I'm excited to see them representing our state and our country in these winter sports.
Please join me in congratulating them on making #TeamUSA! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Unfortunately, threats from our own government to get involved are not helpful to Iranians or to the American people. Americans have no interest in engaging in another war in the Middle East.
I stand in solidarity with the Iranian people and those pursuing freedom everywhere.
The Iranian people, like all people, deserve to have their voices heard and to live under a free and fair representative government. The violence being used against protestors by the current tyrannical regime is horrifying and should be strongly condemned.
Last weekend, an antisemite set fire to the largest synagogue in Mississippi because of its “Jewish ties.” This hatred can not be ignored—we must speak out and condemn it.
Please join me in thinking of the Jewish community at this time.
Ms. Colvin is an unsung hero of the Civil Rights movement. Her courage inspired many to follow in her footsteps. At a time when we desperately need our moral leaders, this is a heartbreaking loss. May we all carry on her legacy of nonviolent resistance.

2025 was a big year—my office closed 1,432 constituent cases and secured $125.4 million for Chicago!
Excited to see what 2026 will bring.
Illinois families are struggling with the highest cost of living in decades, and Trump has the bright idea to cut $1 BILLION in childcare funding for 100,000 working families in our state.
This is unacceptable. I’m joining @morelle.house.gov in calling for this funding to be restored immediately.
If we don't start addressing the national debt NOW, benefits and other government services Americans need may soon run out. It's high time Congress takes our budget deficit and national debt seriously.
Happy Korean American Day! On this day 123 years ago, the first Korean immigrants arrived in the United States.
Today, we celebrate the many contributions of the Korean American community.
I'm thankful for Chairman Powell’s commitment to keeping the @federalreserve.gov independent.
It’s good to see some light in the darkness.
Instead of fixing the economy, Trump has spent the past year raising prices with unnecessary tariffs. Now, he’s weaponizing the DOJ to pressure Fed Chair Jerome Powell to cut interest rates in his favor.

By withdrawing, Trump threw away decades of American climate leadership AND our seat at the decision table.
Recently, Trump withdrew from over 60 international treaties, including the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change!
Every single country on Earth has agreed to this treaty, and the U.S. Senate ratified it in 1992.
This administration has mobilized federal agents for illegal actions across the country. CBP needs to be back at the border where they belong, and ICE needs to leave our streets.
Yesterday, I joined my fellow Chicagoans in Oz Park to protest the violence perpetuated by Trump’s ICE agents — including the murder of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. I also joined the LGBTQ+ community in a vigil for Renee, who leaves behind her wife and kids.
Numbers don’t lie — Trump’s #economy has been the WORST year for jobs since 2020 (when he was last president).
The United States created just 584k jobs in 2025, dropping from over 2 million jobs in both 2024 and 2023.
