"You told a lie about them. Do you regret that?" -- Raskin grills Noem about her comments that Good and Pretti were domestic terrorists
I want to know Secretary Noem's plan to stop masked ICE and CBP agents from killing American citizens like Renee Good and Alex Pretti. We can enforce our immigration laws without terrorizing American citizens and immigrant communities.
Once again, a federal court affirms that Members of Congress have the right to conduct unannounced oversight visits of ICE detention facilities. The American people demand oversight, accountability and reform of the administration's inhumane immigration practices.
Today, Secretary Noem takes some questions from House Judiciary Democrats. Here’s one: why are masked federal agents wreaking havoc in our cities—intimidating, attacking and killing both immigrants and American citizens?
Wishing a happy Holi to everyone celebrating in MD-08, Maryland and across the world! May you experience the joy of this colorful festival with family, friends and loved ones.

Justice for victims or coverup for their traffickers?
Health care for all or corrupt self-enrichment for the president?
The Bill of Rights or a catalogue of escalating wrongs against the people?
The battle lines are drawn in Congress.
This week's Local Hero is accomplished artist Steven Weitzman of Takoma Park. Steven is known for dazzling sculptures of social & political figures like Frederick Douglass & most recently, Barbara Rose Johns, whose sculpture in the Capitol replaced the bust of Robert E. Lee.
Thanks to the expert team from D.C. Water repairing the sewage spill at the Potomac Interceptor for giving me an extensive tour of both the damage and the critical repairs being implemented at the C&O Canal. A full remediation plan is up next.
As Trump's numbers sink like a stone, he grows ever more desperate to bury the secrets buried in the Epstein File. The survivors plan to make sure the truth is known and justice is done.
Trump’s DOJ isn't focused on arriving at the truth about Jeffrey Epstein's trafficking ring and all of its crimes and accomplices.
Trump’s DOJ is focused on diversion, distraction, delay, and setting trapdoors for Congress. Pam Bondi is running a coverup.
MoCo, as more winter weather heads our way, get those shovels out and let’s prepare for snow and icy conditions from Sunday evening through Monday. Please be safe and hang tough!
The Trump Administration has a staff infection.
Trump is shredding our Constitution every day. Instead of answering for all the damage inflicted on our people and the rule of law, Attorney General Pam Bondi spent her time before the Judiciary Committee name-calling, filibustering and deflecting from her indefensible Epstein coverup.
If they force us to choose between calling for the resignation of imbecilic bigots or normalizing hateful religious incitement, that’s not a tough one. This fanatic should spare his constituents any further embarrassment and resign.
Happy Lunar New Year! May the Year of the Horse bring everyone good health and prosperity!
With Ramadan beginning tonight, I wish everyone observing in MD-08 and across America a blessed and reflective Holy Month. Ramadan Mubarak!
Moved and saddened by the passing of Reverend Jackson, who kept hope alive for working-class economics, interracial progressive organizing and peace for many decades. Condolences to Rep. Jonathan Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Jr. and the whole family.
This week's Local Hero is Jason Green who was raised in Quince Orchard. After a dazzling career in gov & politics, Jason returned to his ancestral home & studied the complex, tragic & profoundly inspiring history of MoCo & the Black community here.
