I joined @houseforeign.bsky.social leadership in meeting with #SaudiArabia’s Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah. I stressed the United States’ deep desire to see normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel, and a resolution of recent tensions with the UAE.
I was saddened to learn of the passing of Michael Reagan, a committed member of our San Fernando Valley community. He devoted himself to local charities, was a strong advocate for foster youth, and a principled voice against the sexual abuse of minors. My condolences to his family and loved ones.
Breaking News: Michael Reagan, a son of former President Ronald Reagan who carried on his conservative politics, died at 80.
I joined Reps. @chu.house.gov, @georgewhitesides.bsky.social & my CA colleagues in honoring those we lost in the Palisades & Eaton fires while demanding the federal disaster aid our communities still need. One year later survivors deserve action, not delay. #PalisadesFire #PalisadesStrong
Reports that a woman was killed by an #ICE agent in #Minnesota are deeply disturbing and unacceptable. This unfortunate development is a foreseeable result of #Trump’s anti-immigration policies. Federal officers have a duty to protect life — not recklessly end it. (1/2)
One year ago, our Palisades community endured unimaginable loss. Homes & memories were shaken, but not our spirit. I’m inspired by families rebuilding & neighbors who keep showing up. Today we remember & stand with a community defined not by fire, but by resilience. #PalisadesFire #PalisadesStrong
Five years ago today, our democracy was tested. On #January6th, a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol to overturn a free and fair election. Officers were injured, lives were lost, and the peaceful transfer of power was put at risk. We must never minimize what happened or allow it to be repeated.
Honored to speak with some inspiring young people & to help in one small but meaningful way to open a door to them. To each of you & your families who will share their own portion of your service, thank you for meeting this moment with duty & true excellence. (1/2) #USNA #WestPoint #USAFA #USMMA
Informative meeting with leaders of Eritrea's Blue Revolution movement, which is braving fierce political repression to fight for democracy in #Eritrea. I stand with Eritreans seeking an end to the oppressive #Afwerki regime, which has brutalized Eritrea and its neighbors for decades.
