Trump wants a government shutdown so he can continue to indiscriminately fire public servants. We won’t be blackmailed. Just like the American people saw through the DOGE firings, they see through this threat. We will continue to fight for affordable health care for American families.
EARLIER EXCLUSIVE: The White House tells federal agencies to prepare mass firing plans for a potential shutdown.
Without a bipartisan deal to protect healthcare tax credits, many Arizonans will see their coverage costs increase by hundreds or more per year. Yesterday I joined @repyassansari.bsky.social, @randykeating.bsky.social, and Valledel Sol AZ to discuss the risks and the path forward. My takeaways:
Shocking, senseless news out of Dallas this morning. Violence of any kind has no place in America and tears our communities apart. As details continue to emerge about the shooting, we grieve with the families who lost loved ones and pray for the wounded.
The director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says three people have been shot at an ICE facility in Dallas, and the shooter is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. LIVE FROM THE SCENE: abc15.com/stream

Arizona is facing a health care cliff. If Republicans let these tax credits lapse, 370,000 Arizonans could face health care coverage prices they can no longer afford. We need a bipartisan funding deal to keep prices down & the government open. More on my thoughts with @repyassansari.bsky.social ⬇️
The Democratic lawmakers are holding out against cuts to Medicaid services and expiring insurance subsidies.
We're just 7 days away from a devastating government shutdown.
Democrats asked for a meeting to negotiate a responsible government funding bill that protects the tax credits so many Arizonans rely on for affordable health coverage.
  Trump just canceled it.
Jeffries: The continuing effort by Donald Trump and the Republicans to shut down the federal government is because they want to continue their effort to gut the healthcare of the American people. Our position is simple: cancel the cuts, lower the costs, save healthcare.
Water is life, and in Arizona, every drop counts. I was proud to join the Pascua Yaqui Tribe last week to break ground on a project that will provide water for housing and recreation for 800 Tribal members. 📰 You can now read more about this great news in @azcentral.com below.
24 years ago, Balbir Singh Sodhi was murdered in an act of religious hatred after 9/11. Last week, my team joined the Sikh community in Mesa to honor his memory and reaffirm the importance of diversity, unity, and acceptance to our country and its founding values.

A free press isn't a privilege, it’s a constitutional requirement. Mandating Pentagon reporters to pledge silence about "unauthorized" information or be punished turns watchdogs into mouthpieces. This is a dangerous and illegal erosion of the First Amendment that should alarm us all.
The Trump administration said it will require journalists at the Pentagon to pledge they won’t gather any information that hasn’t been authorized for release. Under the policy, the Pentagon may revoke press passes for anyone it deems a security threat.
When your flight gets canceled or seriously delayed, you shouldn’t be stuck with the bill. Unfortunately, Trump’s DOT just changed the rules so you can be. That’s why I’m leading 77 @housedemocrats.bsky.social urging @secduffy.bsky.social to reinstate these vital passenger protections immediately.
Arizona is proud to be at the center of America’s semiconductor future. Nvidia’s $5B investment in Intel is a major vote of confidence in U.S. chipmaking, and it means more innovation and potential jobs right here at home.
Nvidia is investing $5 billion into Intel to jointly develop PC and data center chips. The investment will see Intel help Nvidia build x86 chips that integrate RTX GPU chiplets. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/780792/...
It takes years to get up to speed in this role — you can't just read a policy paper and have a full understanding of the issues facing USBR and the Colorado River allocation in a short period of time.
Threats of violence against Phoenix’s LGBTQ+ community are disgusting and unacceptable. I’m grateful law enforcement acted quickly, and I stand with LGBTQ+ Arizonans. Hate has no place here. www.azcentral.com/story/news/l...
Many of the engineers and researchers who help build our AI systems, design our semiconductors, and drive innovation came here on H-1B visas.   Trump is pricing America out of the global talent market while our competitors welcome them with open arms.
US President Donald Trump plans to introduce a new $100,000 application fee for H-1B worker visas, according to a White House official, in an effort to reduce their use as part of his broader immigration crackdown reut.rs/4220Nqd
