Republicans claim to be tough on crime, yet Trump brazenly pardons fraudsters, lifts sanctions on dictators, and covers up the Epstein files.
I don't know what reality Republican leaders live in, but it's not this one.
Bon Fet Drapo Ayisyen! This flag rose out of a revolution for freedom, independence and the defiance of colonialism and oppression. It marks a watershed day for the resilient Haitian people. 🇭🇹
If Trump's DOJ won't prosecute wealthy foreign officials and elites who came here to exploit children with Jeffrey Epstein, Congress must step up.
My No Escaping Justice Act hold foreign nationals implicated in Epstein's crimes accountable.
Trump wants taxpayers to fund his arch vanity project and a billion more for his gold ballroom.
We should invest our tax dollars to make life more affordable for working families, not to stroke the president's fragile ego.
The Everglades internment camp will reportedly close because the Trump administration still refuses to pay back Floridians more than $1 billion in wasted tax dollars.
But the fight isn't over. We must hold those responsible accountable.
Our bipartisan MilCon & VA funding bill overwhelmingly passed the House! It avoids painful cuts Democrats oppose, funds veteran healthcare & keeps our commitment to veterans exposed to toxins.
It's a rare across-the-aisle delivery of services veterans & servicemembers earned.
As co-chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Black-Jewish Relations, @repnikema.bsky.social and I proudly celebrate Jewish American History Month:
As a cancer survivor, it's my personal & professional mission to confront it with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
Today, I introduced the bipartisan Lainie Jones Comprehensive Cancer Survivorship Act to help survivors choose their own path & control their healthcare experience.

Lawmakers rejected @wassermanschultz.house.gov's amendment to prevent convicted domestic abusers from accessing firearms.
We know that women are 5 TIMES more likely to be killed if their abuser has access to a gun.
This amendment was commonsense. Lawmakers should be ashamed.

We send our love and support to Arianne, her father Justo, and the whole Betancourt family. Justo was released after more than 6 months in detention -- 4.5 of which were spent inside Alligator Alcatraz.
I'm thrilled that Justo is finally back with his family.
His daughter Arianne has been on the front lines to get this cruel internment camp shut down.
I'm so proud to have fighters in South Florida like her. All families separated like hers should be reunited.
Last night, the House unanimously passed my resolution to recognize Jewish American Heritage Month & honor the million-plus Jewish men & women who have defended our nation in the U.S. military.
Teaching about Jewish American contributions is the best way to fight antisemitism. Happy #JAHM!
Epstein survivors like Courtney Wild never got the chance to object to his backroom plea deal.
I'm proud that my bipartisan amendment to require transparency & reform DOJ's protection of victims' rights was just adopted to the government funding bill.
While Americans struggle to make ends meet, this Republican spending bill gives Trump a blank check for billionaire corruption.

Trump is declaring Mission Accomplished, but Venezuelans don’t feel it.
Many political prisoners are in jail, exiles can’t safely return, Venezuelans deported from America are robbed, tortured and interrogated by the secret police.
Venezuela needs elections, not statehood.
The Everglades internment camp’s closure is long overdue. This monument to cruelty, waste and environmental and tribal lands abuse should have never been built.
My full statement on the reported closure of the Everglades internment camp:
Each May, Jewish American Heritage Month allows us to teach and learn about the Jewish community to help combat antisemitism.
I’m inspired by Tree of Life’s resilience in the face of tragedy, and I was grateful to moderate an interfaith panel on the lessons learned from it last night.
DeSantis is whitewashing slavery and erasing Black history (again). His new 'US history' course, written by a right-wing hack, doesn't mention racism once in 214 pages.
Our students shouldn't be denied a chance to learn what Black Americans fought to overcome.
