Our right to vote isn't negotiable. I joined Senator Padilla, Skye Perryman from Democracy Forward, and Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon, to advocate for Ohio voters and discuss our bill, which will establish stronger voter protections. 🏛️More about it here: bit.ly/3W03i8Z
My heart is with the families and workers hurting right now, and with every person who believed their government was meant to serve, not punish. Trump/Republican contempt for public servants is straight from Project 2025. Democrats will keep fighting for the dignity & health of our fellow Americans.
What Republicans won't tell you: everyone will be affected by pricey health care premiums. Democrats are fighting to keep costs low for Americans, because it hurts everybody when Republicans fail to act. Stop the cuts, lower costs, and SAVE health care. 🔗Full conversation here: http://bit.ly/473ltzN
I joined Senator Padilla to reintroduce a bill that establishes critical voter protections. 'Use-it-or-lose-it’ voter purges have stripped countless Americans of their voice at the ballot box. This bill is a crucial step toward preventing antidemocratic purges. 🔗Read more here: http://bit.ly/3W03i8Z
Republicans are waging a war on America’s health care. They cut Medicaid, and now, they're trying to hike up YOUR health care premiums! Bottom line: they're refusing to open up the government to provide the affordable care that belongs to YOU. It's simple: no health care, no vote.
Today, we honor the lives lost on October 7 and in the devastating days that followed. We continue to pray for peace, compassion, and healing for all who have been affected in the region.
Republicans can’t defend their shutdown or skipping negotiations to reopen the government, so they’re spreading lies about our plan to lower costs and save health care. Unlike the Big Ugly Bill’s tax cuts for the rich, our fight for health care credits help middle- & low-income families.
Republicans can’t defend their shutdown or skipping negotiations. They won’t admit why Democrats refuse to wait on health care tax credits: ACA coverage enrollment opens Nov. 1. Families choosing insurance must know now if they’ll lose credits & be forced to choose between healthcare, rent or food.
This month and year-round we celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities that strengthen our nation every day. As the dignity of our Hispanic neighbors faces increasing attacks, we can honor them by standing up for justice, respect, & opportunity for all.
Republicans inflicted reckless cuts, raised costs & shut down the government instead of protecting health care. I stood with colleagues, patients & advocates sharing powerful impact stories. Democrats will keep fighting to stop cuts, lower costs & save health care until every day Americans prevail.
Republicans blocked the extension of vital health care tax credits—spiking insurance premiums in the Affordable Care Act marketplace, shutting down government. Click http://bit.ly/3Irq32z to calculate YOUR premium increase. Democrats are fighting to keep care affordable AND reopen the government.
Republicans shut down YOUR government and raised YOUR health care costs. Democrats are fighting to reopen government AND… Stop the Cuts, Lower the Costs, Save Health Care. We’re choosing YOU, while Republicans choose higher costs. See my statement on Trump's 2nd shutdown👉🏽 : http://bit.ly/46LIRBH
At midnight, Republicans shut YOUR government down instead of protecting YOUR health care. They left town, choosing higher costs for Americans. Democrats stayed in D.C. — choosing YOU: fighting to stop cuts, lower costs, and save health care.
Earlier today on the House Floor I called out Republicans for vacationing while Democrats fight for Ohio families. Without ACA credits, premiums will soar—$670 more for many, $16,962 more for others. We can stop the cuts, lower costs, save health care AND fund the government.
