I’m calling on President Trump and Secretary Kennedy to immediately restore critical personnel and resources to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services so our nation’s top public health experts can respond to this outbreak with the full force of their expertise and research-based science.

The measles vaccine is a long-proven, safe, and effective way to prevent this disease, but Trump Administration officials are not doing enough to promote public health or treat the measles outbreak with the urgency and seriousness it demands.
Measles is spreading rapidly in unvaccinated communities – and the Trump Administration’s dangerous spread of vaccine misinformation has made this outbreak harder to contain and, tragically, more deadly.

I will keep fighting to protect Medicaid and safeguard these essential programs. Our seniors, veterans, and families deserve better than reckless cuts that threaten their health and well-being.
During my recent visit to Oxnard Family Circle, I saw the faces of those who would be directly impacted by these cuts. The center plays a critical role in empowering seniors through care management, adult day health services, and veteran-specific care.
Community-Based Adult Services are essential for veterans, seniors, and low-income individuals. Unfortunately, the proposed Republican budget threatens to gut Medicaid, leading to devastating cuts that could drastically reduce services at CBAS centers like Oxnard Family Circle.
On this #SocialSecurityDayofAction – and every day – I’m fighting to protect Social Security and stop these dangerous, reckless attacks on a lifeline that millions of Americans count on.
They’ve fired thousands of Social Security workers, broken the agency’s website, shuttered offices, and made it harder for people to access the benefits they have earned – all to give billionaires another tax break.
But instead of protecting the seniors who paid into Social Security their whole lives, Donald Trump and Elon Musk are trying to dismantle it.
More than 70 million Americans, including over 136,000 people across #VenturaCounty and the Conejo Valley, rely on Social Security. It is not a handout – it’s how people pay rent, buy groceries, and stay afloat.
Social Security delivers – no matter what.
While markets are volatile and retirement savings swing unpredictably, Social Security is working to provide stability for seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and vulnerable populations across the country.

With today’s Save Social Security Day of Action, House Democrats are standing up to Trump, Musk and Republicans to protect this earned benefit.
Chag Pesach Sameach to all celebrating across #VenturaCounty and the Conejo Valley! As people around the world gather with their loved ones around the Seder table this Passover, may the strength, hope, and resilience of the Jewish people continue to inspire us all.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @underwood.house.gov explains how Republicans are squeezing hardworking families with a budget that cuts Medicaid to give tax breaks to billionaire donors like Elon Musk.
I am demanding immediate answers from Secretary Collins. Our nation’s veterans deserve better. This reckless mandate must be fixed now.
VA workers are being crammed into closets, stripped of remote tools that expanded mental health care, and pushed out altogether. The mandate is also making it harder to recruit and retain the skilled professionals our veterans rely on – and it’s putting veterans' care and benefits at serious risk.
President Trump’s blanket return-to-office mandate is a dangerous decision that’s disrupting care, driving out providers, and creating chaos across the VA.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
