Conversion therapy is abusive and fraudulent. I’m heartbroken to see the Supreme Court's ruling on Colorado’s state law. I will continue to push for a national ban on conversion therapy so we can protect the health and safety of children all across America.
I signed onto @pressley.house.gov's discharge petition to force a vote on redesignating TPS for Haiti because Donald Trump and Stephen Miller's attacks on Haitian immigrants are purely driven by xenophobia and bigotry, not security concerns. I look forward to voting yes.
ICYMI: My discharge petition to extend Haiti TPS has enough support to force a vote in the House. This is a huge win and brings us closer than ever to saving Haitian lives and delivering the protections they deserve. Let’s get it done!
A Boston Globe headline titled: Pressley will get vote on her legislation to restore Temporary Protected Status for Haitian migrants.
Today we celebrate the bravery & resilience of the trans community in the face of relentless attacks by anti-equality extremists who seek to erase & control trans voices & stories. Our members will always fight for our trans siblings’ right to exist openly & authentically. #TransDayOfVisibility
If Trump wanted to address the energy crisis he created, he could end the war, abandon his ideological obsession with fossil fuels, and embrace the diversity of American energy sources. Instead, he’s giving his oil and gas friends a free pass to pollute and kill endangered whales in the gulf.
BREAKING: The God Squad voted unanimously to give the oil industry a pass from protecting the approximately 50 remaining critically endangered Rice's whales in the Gulf of Mexico. Pete Hegseth even cited the Iran war as part of the justification.
This tells you everything about this Administration's priorities. While preparing to send our troops into harm’s way in a half-baked war, Hegseth was working on getting a piece of the pie. Disgusting. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Pete Hegseth must resign or be fired immediately.
FT Exclusive: A broker for the US defence secretary attempted to make a big investment in major defence companies in the weeks leading up to the US-Israeli attack on Iran, according to three people familiar with the matter ft.trib.al/erwM82D

Donald Trump is refusing to negotiate a deal to end the DHS shutdown, end the chaos at airports across country, and pay our public servants. The American people deserve a president who will do the job of governing, not an erratic ballroom designer. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
After enacting the largest Medicaid cuts in history and allowing health care tax credits to expire so they can pay for tax cuts for the rich, Republicans now want to make further cuts to health care to pay for Trump’s illegal war of choice in Iran. Shameful. I'll be voting NO.
NEW: Republicans are considering reductions in federal health spending to help pay for a budget bill containing as much as $200 billion to fund the Iran war and immigration enforcement.
Trump promised he would lower costs on Day 1, but the cost of groceries has only gotten more expensive for Americans since he’s been in office. www.cbsnews.com/news/price-t...
Trump: "The cost of cheese, butter, potatoes, and fruit is lower today than when I took office. Eggs are down 60%. Beef is starting to come down. They wanted to have less cattle in the country for environmental reasons. These are sick people. It has something to do with gas."
As we've said all along, Trump’s aluminum tariffs are a counterproductive failure. These tariffs are only raising costs on manufacturers that rely on aluminum, while domestic production has actually declined. www.bloomberg.com/opinion/arti...
It is not too late to do the right thing. Speaker Johnson can still bring the Senate-passed bill to the floor, reopen the law-abiding entities of DHS, and ensure that public servants are paid. He should. 7/7
Congress shouldn't approve additional funding for operations that include masked agents breaking into homes and vehicles without judicial warrants. Americans shouldn't tolerate lawless brutality from a federal agency, and ICE shouldn't receive additional funding until these abuses are addressed. 6/
They brought forward legislation that prioritizes additional funding for ICE without any meaningful safeguards to address the disturbing pattern of aggressive enforcement tactics that has terrorized communities and resulted in the tragic death of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. 5/
Had they done so, the law-abiding agencies under DHS would be funded, the dedicated public servants who keep our country running – including TSA agents, Coast Guard members, and FEMA personnel – would be paid, and the air travel delays afflicting Americans across the country would be resolved. 3/
