There it is—plain as day: the Trump-Musk alliance is corrupt at its core. Always has been. Musk was Trump's biggest 2024 donor. Now he has unlimited power to shovel billions of our tax dollars to his companies. How will my Republican colleagues respond? www.nytimes.com/2025/03/23/u...
The levels of incompetence shown by the VP, Secretary of Defense, and other top Trump admin officials here are beyond astounding. This group chat put our soldiers in danger and shows the world how little they think of our alliances. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
For 15 years, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has helped millions of Americans gain access to quality, affordable health care. One of the ACA’s greatest achievements? Expanding Medicaid to cover millions of low-income Americans who previously had no access to affordable health coverage.
Lastly, this is unconstitutional & @housedemocrats.bsky.social will fight back. The Dept. of Education was created by Congress & it is funded by Congress. This is just Trump's latest attempt to ignore the law & take a hatchet to the programs you rely on, just as they are doing w/ Social Security.
In #CA28, 128 public and charter schools serve 85,613 kids—11,044 living in poverty and 1,500 experiencing homelessness. And yet, Trump would rather funnel taxpayer dollars to his billionaire buddies than invest in these children. I know where I'd rather see our money go.
The Department of Education funds schools and districts, provides student loans for college, and supports students with disabilities. Cutting it WILL impact students, teachers, and parents directly.
Education is the foundation of our nation’s success. Full stop. This is a sad day for America, but we WILL fight back. Eliminating the Department of Education means larger classes, less support, and fewer opportunities, all so Trump can give tax cuts to his billionaire friends.
Loved meeting over 110+ constituents a few days ago to discuss how Trump and Republicans are putting billionaire tax breaks ahead of their healthcare & Social Security. This was one of 85+ Town Halls by House Democrats. We want to hear from you as we fight their reckless agenda.
I was proud to vote against the Republicans' reckless Continuing Resolution, & we remain united in this fight.   I hear your frustration, & I’m listening. I’ll keep fighting for working families, Veterans, and seniors. This fight is far from over, & together, we will keep pushing forward.
Wishing a bright and joyful Holi to everyone celebrating in #CA28 and around the world! Holi is a time for communities to come together, welcome the arrival of spring, and celebrate with vibrant colors and festive cheer. Happy Holi!
Trump and his billionaire Education Secretary are stealing YOUR taxpayer dollars out of our public schools and classrooms and making it even harder for low- and middle-income families to afford college. Why? So billionaires won't have to pay as much in taxes. thehill.com/homenews/edu...
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Matteo Paz from Pasadena, a Top 40 finalist in the 2025 Regeneron Science Talent Search. He didn’t stop there—he won 1st place and $250,000 for uncovering rare stars and galaxies from a decade of full-sky data. An incredible achievement!

Elon Musk has made clear that he wants to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The House Republican partisan funding bill utterly fails to protect these vital benefits. That's why Democrats are united to stop it.
🚨 Reminder! Tomorrow is the FINAL day to apply for three critical grants for those impacted by the Eaton Fires. Don't miss this opportunity—see details below. Thank you for sharing and helping spread the word! For more information, visit: chu.house.gov/EatonFire.
I'm so grateful to all my colleagues from California - from both parties - for signing onto this letter to Congressional leadership to deliver critical disaster assistance to survivors of the Eaton and Palisades Fires. Disaster aid should never be partisan.
New @kff.org polling confirms what @housedemocrats.bsky.social and I have long known: Medicaid is extremely, overwhelmingly popular among the American people. Republicans cutting its funding to pay for tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy do so at their own peril.
Just to appease Trump, an official released reservoir water he KNOWS won't reach Los Angeles and won't do anything to help us fight wildfires. If my Republican colleagues cared about waste, fraud, & abuse, they'd hold hearings: www.washingtonpost.com/climate-envi...
