This morning, I visited Village Theatre Guild in Glen Ellyn, a community theatre with roots dating back to 1917, now in its 62nd season. It’s inspiring to see how it continues to bring people together and foster creativity, reminder of why supporting the arts matters.
Transgender people have always been, and will always be, part of our society. I’m proud to uplift trans voices today and every day, and I’ll keep fighting for their rights in Congress.
Travel plans shouldn’t get stuck in red tape. If you’re dealing with passport delays, travel emergencies, or issues with federal agencies, my office is here to help you get back on track.
Last year, Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans cut Medicare and Medicaid to give billionaires a tax cut. Now, they want to cut health care even further to pay for their war. The American people deserve better. We must end this war and stop these cuts. www.axios.com/2026/03/30/g...
House Republicans are rejecting a bipartisan funding bill to pay workers at the TSA, FEMA & the Coast Guard. Speaker Johnson is instead choosing to continue the chaos at airports, all in the name of handing ICE a blank check with no accountability. Shameful. www.nbcnews.com/politics/tru...
The deadline is approaching to apply to my STEM Scholars Program this year! This annual program gives students exclusive summer visits to STEM businesses and facilities and opportunities to engage with industry experts. Apply by April 17th at casten.house.gov!
The Energy Bills Relief Act will help lower costs by: ✅ Restoring clean energy tax credits ✅ Preventing utility shutoffs ✅ Incentivizing utilities to save consumers money ✅ Protecting American consumers from price gouging ✅ Making sure you don’t pay to power data centers
Trust in the Supreme Court has cratered. When decisions appear inconsistent, when power goes unchecked, and when accountability is in question, confidence in the courts erodes. Here’s my Op-Ed on how to fix it: thehill.com/opinion/judi...
My office is accepting submissions for the Congressional Art Competition. All student artists who complete submissions will be invited to a reception where their works will be displayed. Head over to my website for details on the application!
Need help navigating federal agencies? You’re not alone. My office is here to help constituents cut through the red tape, whether it’s Social Security, Medicare, veterans benefits, or resolving issues with federal agencies.
Donald Trump is holding TSA agents’ paychecks hostage and sending ICE into airports because he wants to pass a voter suppression bill. TSA agents deserve to be paid. ICE’s lawlessness must stop. The only thing stopping that from happening is the president. www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...
Sheldon and Harriet Peck were outspoken abolitionists who provided shelter to freedom seekers along the Underground Railroad. In the face of attempts to erase our history, it's more important than ever to preserve these historic sites. (2/2)
Today, I joined historians, preservationists, and local leaders at the Peck Homestead in Lombard to highlight the importance of historic sites and stories that have shaped our nation’s history. (1/2)
The bad news is that clock is ticking to tackle rising energy costs and the climate crisis. The good news is that the solution is here. Expanded access to low-cost, reliable energy is good for our planet and good for your wallet. I introduced the Energy Bills Relief Act to do just that.

🚨 @casten.house.gov and @levin.house.gov just introduced the Energy Bills Relief Act to address rising energy costs by deploying clean energy, putting affordability over profit, and modernizing the grid. This bill would get the U.S. on the right track and reverse Trump’s disastrous energy policies.
To address skyrocketing electricity costs, I led over 120 House Democrats, alongside Rep. Mike Levin, in introducing the Energy Bills Relief Act. This is a consumer-focused approach to energy policy that will lower costs, increase reliability, and ensure our electric grid can meet rising demand
